Peri Implantitis & Peri Implant Mucositis Laser Treatment
A 67 year old patient wished to resolve the pain (VAS=7) and bleeding around his implants and to keep his implants as long as possible due to financial restrictions.
Clinical examination revealed: deep probing depths up to 7mm; pus from the pockets around the implants and bleeding on probing.
The diagnosis is peri-implantitis. The treatment I offered was non surgical treatment with diode laser treatment (Swiss protocol) after bridge removal.
In this video you see the second laser treatment with curettage. You observe almost no bleeding or pus formation and the patient reported no pain (VAS=0)

A slight departure from showing advanced and complicated periodontal videos but well this does look like a scary mouth problem.
This case was presented recently and shows a bad case of Epulis Fissuratum. It's where excess folds of firm tissue develop and grow inside the mouth due to the rubbing on the edge of miss fitted dentures. More technically: It's a benign hyperplasia of fibrous connective tissue which develops as a reactive lesion to chronic mechanical irritation produced by the flange of a poorly fitting denture.

I attached here my video. It's about how to correct an esthetic failure due to implant position area 22 that was reffered to me by prosthodontist.
I couldn't take the implant out because it is cover by xenograft. Taking the implant out will cause to the xenograft wall to collapse which will cause even more esthetic problem and an extreme correction by extensive augmentation which will take time to heal. So the prosthodontist, me an the patient decided to bury the implant and I will augmant the soft tissue and the prosthodontist will cement Marriland bridge instead of rehabilitation of the implant.

A 50 year old healthy male came 15 months after implantation in area 15 & 16. His main complaint being the crowns over the implants were mobile. After the crown was unscrewed the probing depth was 6mm and the X-Ray showed a significant bone loss and the implants were mobile.
Diagnosis: Implants 15 and 16 failed. The treatment of choice explantation immediate implantation with Straumann implants and crestal sinus lift in area of 16.
I also decided to augment the buccle bone with xenograft bone and cross linked membrane (OSSIX Membrane).
