Another video where I am still working on the Light Bowgun as I think I will be gunning while in multiplayer (have to use blades in single player to farm tails). Goals in this video were to learn the damages and try to learn some of the patterns. This is essentially a build up to tomorrow's video where I go solo and kill everything... ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLGj5DKc1SY
This is the ending where you get friendzoned for eternity. It may sound harsh, but I'm not going to lie to you guys. This is really painful to watch and our character just can't move on. Definitely not a happily ever after...

The one extermination mission we have here sends us back to the dungeon where we reunited with Randy. Sadly, I do not remember my way through here, so I end up taking the long way through. I use the opportunity to farm some extra sepith as I go, but at this stage of the game, they just don't keep up.
As for the enemy, sadly these bats are so fat that you can't target all of them with your attacks, so you need to gradually chip away at them. If you're in good shape when the first drops, you usually have the match as you can turn it into a battle of attrition. I did this with barely any of the new gear from the chapter start, so you can grind up some money before coming if you want to make this easier.

Continuing my quest to clear all quests, Somnacanth and Aknosom are the targets and I need to take them down. I don't have a use for the gear for either of them, but there is always a chance to get one of those oh so elusive crowns.
Anyway, Somnacanth is still susceptible to Pierce, but Aknosom can be a little annoying. The upside to Pierce there is that you can pierce its wings when it tries to cover its face. It may be possible that Sticky is better against it, but I still haven't gotten around to testing it. Due to its bipedal nature and body shape, I think Sticky may be the way to go. Nothing on either of them can be severed, but you can break stuff, so go nuts.

I cannot stress it enough here, get the Escape magic before leaving Baskar Village. Having to repeatedly climb and descend this mountain is extremely annoying. I don't have it here, but I am going to pick it up to prevent this tedium again.
Anyway, we've reached a new village and we need to try to defend the Guardian Seal before the enemy can get there, requiring us to ascend Mount Zenom. The encounter rate here is still a little high, but much better than some of the other areas, as if the devs knew the geography was going to be more of a challenge than anything else. Upon reaching the top, we arrive just in time to see the seal get destroyed, which is our queue to descend the mountain after disposing of an enemy.
Hopefully the next seal will be a little different...
Also, while editing this, it seemed at times like the sound effects were slightly off. I do not have the PS1 version of the game to see if it is like that there or if it may be a side effect of the way the PS3 emulator works. I'll try watching for it in the future to see if it happens again.

The title here is a little deceptive, as once I get "Surf" I head to the Power Plant in search of my electric type. Who just so happens to be a steel type. Which just happens to be immune to poison. Which just so happens to be the type Koga uses. What a series of coincidences, right?
The bad news though is the Mr. Mime is part Fairy, which is weak to poison and puts me in a compromising position. Luckily, Dugtrio is also fairly effective against them. However, the breakout star of the video is when my preferred bird cuts loose. I suspect it won't be the last time we see that either...

The only difference between this and the male route is who and how you are betrayed. Shizuka wants to sacrifice you and will, with her logic being that you don't offer much to the crew. Everyone else hops on board and the barbecue plays out the same way afterward.

Since I do not have great vision out my west side, you can't see in great detail the fighting go on between the PAC, NSA, and Chungsu. However, if you look at all of the traffic going past my northern border, you can see the NSA is not pulling any punches. Ultimately, this is where Chungsu is so thoroughly beat down that I do not have any problems with them for the remainder of the game, and I didn't even get the chance to touch them.
In terms of my news, I have to make the decision between ARC and Al Falah, then live with said consequences, and whatever they may entail...

The time has come for Yellow Comet to show Black Hole to the door. There are different ways this map can play out, such as not having Blue Moon's help if you did the Yellow Comet campaign first. Since the factory maps usually suck, I find it best to have Grit for them whenever he is available, the final one excepted.
If you want a good power score, you need to get across the water with Grit very quickly to try to race over to the factory so you can blast some newly created units. Since they can move on the turn they spawn, you are more likely to get blasted, so I don't recommend this. Most likely, there will be a naval unit or two that you will sink over the entire map, and then a few ground units as you make your way to the seam. It is fairly easy to take a ranged shot to bring it down, which is the simple way to do this map.
As for Kanbei, you don't get a good enough economy quickly enough and with all of the free units Adder gets, it is very difficult to get off the ground in a reasonable amount of time. Since Adder has air support and you do not, you don't even have the option of falling back on a bottleneck and relying on your partner to do anything either. You will win any straight up clash between you and him, so they try to give him advanced units to make it closer to an even match. With the garbage terrain between you and him and his mobility bonus, you can't really cut through that area in a decent amount of time.

With the Solaris arc behind us, we are given a slew of side quests to tackle. Before we get those, we need to interact with the various pilots, so all of those scenes are here and we will start working on the missions themselves in subsequent videos. It will be a little while before we get to see Kuushana's new ship in action...
