How NOT to bend 24' Metal Roofing Sheets when lifting them onto the Roof.
Guys, this is a simple one. Of course use the pallet that the metal roofing company ships the roofing with. We reinforced the front of the pallet with 10' 2x6s so it wouldn't bend as much when lifting. Used the ol' Harbor Freight Hoist (link below) and lifted those bad boys up onto the roof. Ty did some filming this time which was great, and as always, you know the drill.... Hope this helps someone out there. Skud
I have a plugged EGR valve that I will be cleaning in the next video. I needed a platform to get up to a working height to comfortably work on the engine. This workbench / platform is a 4' x 8' Sheet, 32" High. It has folding legs and is heavy, so be prepared to have a helper carry it or use a hand truck, or make a wheel dolly like I explain towards the end of the video.

This is a long over due and pretty lengthy How-To viedo on how to take off, clean and put back on your EGR valve by using a sandblaster (which you can get a cheap one at harbor freight) and some baking soda (which is very fine and doesn't harm the EGR) to clean the built up soot when your car throws a code. The codes that may show up on your OBD reader can consist of the following:
P0205C, P0402, P2457, P0299, P0405, P0403, 4B82, 40E9, 4C9E, 4C9F codes.
The OBD reader is bad ass, and updated quite consistently. It has a fantastic user rating and can be had here!

This is the 2nd Video in a 3 part training series. I am using Solidworks in a virtual machine, specifically VM Workstation. I know 2012 is outdated, and I do have 2013 and 2014 installed in other VMs but just decided to use this one. This video is a follow up to the Grind Box; This is a simple landing that could be added to the Grind Box.

Guys, I needed to rebuild my 1988 Ford F250 Power Steering Pump, so I filmed the whole thing. There was a decent video already up on YouTube, but it omitted a few steps, so I (in usual fashion) made a SUPER long video about it, LOL. I bought one of the many kits online, I think I bought it from Rock Auto. The Power Steering Pump Kit comes with one extra O-ring and I never did find out where it goes (maybe it is for a new or older power steering pump). I am not sure what years of Ford F250 this covers, probably 86 to 92ish but don't quote me on that.
(don't forget, if you are on PC, the arrow keys are a quick way to fast forward or rewind)
Table of Contents:
0:00 "Intro - Removing Plastic Reservoir"
3:00 "Removing Retaining Clip"
5:45 "Removing Internals"
9:30 "Pulley Removal (I broke mine, so this section consisted of me pulling the steel pulley boss)"
14:29 "O-Ring Kit Display"
15:24 "O-Ring Installation"
26:43 "Re-Assembly"
35:18 "Retaining Ring Installation"
41:04 "Reinstall of Plastic Reservoir"
42:10 "Reinstall of Fluid Feed Fitting"
43:05 "Outro"

This is a multi part video series on framing up a large shed door. Essentially, it is the front wall that is on large hinges. It is a 8' Wide by 9' Tall door and will have a regular man door built into it. This video covers last bit of misc. framing and blocking. Part 4.

Here is a How To on building a tank I made up out of ABS for my Brad and Pin Nail Guns (PS, it also works when your lawn mower has a slow leak on one of the tires). It keeps me from having to string line out as I don't have a contractor's air compressor. Could probably be used for other things as well. I have an upgrade video that will follow this one as with any experiment, the tank needed some refining.

In this episode, we design a sample bracket around this Eaton Hydraulic Pump I downloaded from their website as a real world example part to design around. This is an example of multibody workflow (in my opinion the best design principle) that is VERY uncommon in the Solidworks Community. I don't use vault so I have no idea how multibody interacts with Vault, or any ERP, MRP system. This is how I tend to design, so it may not work for your situation but as always I hope it gives you some tools to stick in your belt and makes you a better CAD Jockey. Hope you enjoy, Skud.
