If any man knew how to meet the heresies of Campbellism, that man surely was Ben M. Bogard. He lived during the years of their most active and aggressive development. He knew their history, their origin, their heresies. He knew how to meet them with the Scriptures and with logical arguments. He engaged them in more debates than any man living or dead. Campbellism is heresy: it is unscriptural in origin; it is unscriptural in doctrine and practices. Campbellism is dangerous to the eternal destiny of those souls deceived by it. Campbellism should be exposed for what it is: An unscriptural re- ligious denomination having its origin in the heretical teachings of Alexander Campbell, Bar- ton W. Stone and others about 1827. The found- ers of this denomination were men, not the Lord Jesus Christ. Before the first Campbellite church was formed, the leaders in the organization had already been excluded from a Baptist church for their heretical teachings and unscriptural prac- tices. This little book was prepared by Dr. Bogard to make it easy for the ordinary lay-Christian to meet the heresies of Campbellism. Every Baptist would do well to purchase a copy, study it, and mark the Bible references used by Campbellites and learn how to meet their arguments with the Bible. This book is designed to make it easy for any interested person to do just that.
