Previously, the party continued fishing in the South Velinard Region, and Heorot reached Fishing Level 26. They will now keep on fishing and do the third Fishing level limit quest to raise Heorot's limit to Fishing Level 35.
Rendoa South (time 0:28):
The party resumes in the church in the Port Town Rendoa South. They chat with Fishing Master Harmos at D-4/D-5 to see his latest fish requests and the upcoming rewards. The next rod is available at Fishing Level 27.
The party Zooms to the West Velinard Region.
West Velinard Region (time 3:39):
The party arrives at the crystal by the Mirena Coast pier at A-6/B-6 in the southwest. They take the southeastern exit at G-6 to the South Velinard Region.
South Velinard Region (time 5:49):
The party arrives in the southwestern part of the South Velinard Region. They do their fishing at C-6.
When their current Double Bubble expires, they use a new one.
Heorot reaches Fishing Level 27.
Later, Heorot reaches Fishing Level 28. It appears that his chance for hooking king-size fish increases. The next Fishing level limit quest becomes available.
The party Zooms to the Port Town Rendoa South.
Rendoa South (time 33:17):
The party talks to Fishing Master Harmos at D-4/D-5. Harmos issues Quest 024: "Aiming for Higher Fishing Routes". The prerequisite is to have reached Fishing Level 28. The objective is to catch an Electric Eel (電気ウナギ), which can be fished in the Booner Rainforest.
The party talks to Harmos again. For Fishing Level 27, they earn the Miracle Fishing Rod (きせきの釣りざお). This is currently the last rod Harmos has available. The next lure is available at Fishing Level 29.
The party also turns in a Footballfish (チョウチンアンコウ) to Harmos for fishing experience points and fish tokens. They sell the rest of their fish to Picho for fish tokens.
The party Zooms to the Jungle Camp in the Booner Rainforest.
Booner Rainforest (time 36:22):
The party arrives at the Jungle Camp at F-7. They visit the inn and rest until morning.
The party goes north from the camp and fishes at the cape at G-5. They try the Miracle Fishing Rod, which has the ability "Pull with Miraculous Power". While pulling, this restores line strength. However, this rod has the same attack power as the Flaming, Ice, and Darkness Fishing Rods.
After a fish battle, the party reels in the needed Electric Eel (電気ウナギ). The next objective is to report to Harmos in Rendoa South.
The party continues fishing to log each type of fish available at this cape. Overall, though, the experience available in the southwest of the South Velinard Region seems superior.
They use a new Double Bubble when their current one expires.
When the party has collected each type of fish available from the cape at G-5, they Zoom to the Port Town Rendoa South.
Rendoa South (time 47:40):
The party reports to Fishing Master Harmos at D-4/D-5. Quest 024 complete! Heorot's Fishing level limit is increased from 30 to 35. This appears to be the last Fishing level limit quest available for now, but there could be more in the expansion.
The player earns the accolade "Helper of Five Continents" for completing all 212 quests available on the Five Continents. Of course, more quests will be forthcoming in the expansion.
The party turns to Harmos again and turns in an Eel (ウナギ) for fishing experience and fish tokens. They turn in the rest of their fish to Picho for more fish tokens.
The party saves at the church. Next time, they will continue fishing. There is a trophy for catching 30 types of fish.

Previously, Davilas finished carrying out quests that are prerequisites to Version 6.4 story events. In the Current Free People's Village, he carried out Quest 587: "Eteenel★Soul Food" for Momontal and learned how to make Hatsuratsu Beans. Then, at the Royal Army Headquarters in Current Kimbel, he carried out Quest 589: "To Step into the Future" for Theodolt and Melearde. Now, Davilas will begin the Version 6.4 storyline, "The Tale of Eternal Rectalis", by visiting Archangel Mitlar at the Heavenly Shrine in Folion.
Davilas resumes in his house in the Azlan Housing Area on Eltona, the Elf continent. He is currently a Level 126 Minstrel. Outside, he checks his mail and receives gold for items that sold on the bazaar. Many thanks to the buyers!
Davilas uses the Soul Candlestick to Zoom to the Folion Heavenly Temple.
Folion Heavenly Temple (time 1:58):
In the temple's exterior, Harel at D-4 has story info.
Davilas takes the door at C-4 into the Heavenly Shrine. At E-5 on 1F, Shutron has story info.
On floor 2F, Davilas takes the door at D-3/E-3 to the Celestrian Chief's Room. Within, he talks to Archangel Mitlar at D-2/E-2 to get the story started. An event with Mitlar and Yuraiza takes place. Next, Davilas must head up to the Heavenly Altar.
After the event, Mitlar has story info.
Davilas leaves the office, goes downstairs, and exits the Heavenly Shrine. In the temple's exterior, he goes up the lift at D-4/E-4.
Then, he goes out the door at D-3/E-3 to the Heavenly Altar. A scene takes place. Sovereign Jia Red Genos has sent a couple of Jia delinquents to pester the temple: Jia Rubé, the girl, and Jia Saphir, the boy. While the Champions hold off some fiendish forces, Davilas and Yuraiza have a pest to deal with.
After the scene, it is boss time against Jia Rubé (ジア・ルーベ). The fiery crystal girl uses a lot of fiery attacks, starting with the humble Flame Slash and Flame Multislash. She gains Jia Prominence, a straight line attack, at yellow HP. When her HP gets red, she gains Jia Volcano, which hits a large area. Fortunately, Yuraiza is on hand to help the player party in this battle.
After the battle, another scene takes place at the Heavenly Altar. Even in defeat, Jia Rubé has the power to help Jia Saphir cause a bit of vandalism before they leave. I don't think a fresh paint job is going to help with that. Looks like the Champions have work to do.
Afterwards, Spael comes to Davilas and Yuraiza in a panic. The next objective is to visit Tetral in the Crystal Room under the Purging Fountain.
Davilas gains control outside the Heavenly Altar. He takes the lift at D-3/E-3 down to the temple's exterior.
At E-4, Sebrun has story info.
Davilas takes the door at F-4 to the Purging Fountain. Within, Spael at E-5 has story info.
Davilas takes the door at D-4/E-4 down to the Crystal Room. This triggers a scene with Yuraiza and Tetral. The Divine Sword Rectalis and the Shield of Astoltia were made in ancient times to counter Jia Kuto. Davilas must find a way to go back in time to the Age of Myth to learn more. So, Yuraiza asks Davilas to visit Melearde in the Current Royal City of Kimbel's Royal Army Headquarters.
That explains why we had to do stuff in Kimbel. The required tasks are: Quest 476, Quest 483, Quest 580, Quest 581, Quest 583, Quest 584, Quest 587, and Quest 589.
Davilas gains control in the Crystal Room. Tetral at D-2/E-2 is marked as having story info.
Davilas goes up to the Purging Fountain and then outside. He uses the Soul Candlestick to return to Astoltia.
New Eteene Village (time 30:50):
Davilas Zooms to the Current Royal City of Kimbel on Great Eteene Island.

Previously, Heorot continued the Wings of the Goddess storyline. He carried out Wings of the Goddess Mission 31: "Prelude to a Storm". Now, he will continue with Mission 32: "Storm's Crescendo".
Heorot resumes in his Mog House in present-day Bastok. For the upcoming mission he changes his support job to Thief for the Flee ability. Then, he heads outside.
Bastok Mines (time 1:20):
Heorot teleports to Home Point #1 in Xarcabard [S], Valdeaunia Front.
Xarcabard [S] (time 1:41):
Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at H-9.
At H-8, Heorot examines the Rally Point: Blue. This triggers a cutscene with the Bastok force for Wings of the Goddess Mission 32: "Storm's Crescendo". Heorot receives the Alchemical Signal Flare temporary key item.
After the scene, Heorot examines the nearby Excavated Snow at H-8. He chooses the "Storm's Crescendo" objective. He is transported to Ghoyu's Reverie.
Ghoyu's Reverie (time 6:58):
Heorot arrives in Ghoyu's Reverie. This assault mission is pretty unusual.
First, Heorot must talk to Antje at G-8 in the first cavern nearby for a cutscene. She assigns him to run through the cavern and alert twenty-four of her operatives that it is time to detonate their charges. She will give Heorot a Flee effect, and Heorot must talk to the first operative before the effect expires. If he is in time, the operative will detonate their charge and renew Heorot's Flee effect. The blast indicates the direction Heorot should go next. Heorot can then proceed to the next operative.
However, if the Flee effect expires, the operative will send Heorot back to Antje to try again. There are some Falxfang Tigers throughout the cavern, but the Flee effect does not offer any time to deal with them.
Heorot can manually use the Thief's job ability Flee to reapply the effect. Unfortunately, if he does this, the operatives will not renew his Flee effect. Worse, the job ability Flee has a five-minute cooldown. If your Flee timer runs out early in the mission, it may be best to just fail and try again. You have up to 30 minutes to complete this mission, and you can make as many attempts as you want in that time.
Heorot makes a couple of failed test runs. The good thing is that he clears out some Falxfang Tigers during these runs.
The successful run starts at time index 29:05. Heorot talks to Antje at G-8 to restart the mission. Then, he makes a clockwise circuit through the cavern and talks to the twenty-four operatives along the way.

Previously, Heorot continued grinding in Escha - Ru'Aun. He has earned a total of 209 Job Points as Red Mage. In this video, he will do some more Job Point grinding as Red Mage in Escha - Ru'Aun.
Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. In his delivery box, he receives gil for two Plutons that sold at auction. Thank you to the buyer(s)!
Then, he heads out to Bastok Mines.

Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at G-5. Up the hill, he examines the Undulating Confluence at G-5 to enter Escha - Ru'Aun.

Heorot arrives at H-11. After summoning his Trust NPCs, he hunts some more Eschan Il'aern in this zone.
Heorot accrues 1 Job Point for an overall total of 210 Job Points earned. He has a current total of 6 Job Points.
When he has finished for now, he uses the Undulating Confluence at H-11 to return to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago.
Misareaux Coast (time 1:03:15):
Heorot arrives at G-5. Just down the hill to the west, he uses Home Point #1 at G-5 to teleport to Port Jeuno.
Port Jeuno (time 1:03:52):
Heorot trades his Crests to Shami at H-8 for storage.
Then, he teleports to Bastok Markets.
Bastok Markets (time 1:05:42):
Heorot trades his Copper A.M.A.N. Vouchers to Isakoth at E-11. In Mjoll's Goods, he sells his loot to Olwyn at E-11.
Then, he teleports to Bastok Mines.

At the auction house, Heorot puts two Plutons up for sale.
Afterwards, he enters the residential area.

Previously, the party continued the story in the City. They took the northern elevator down to the War Room for a conference with Monica. They must infiltrate Agnus Castle to liberate a Lost Numbers spy that has information about the lost Queens. This started the standard quest "Castle Access", which is part of the story. The party also learned and discussed some info. While exploring the Great Sword's Hilt outside, they defeated the Fineblade Faltaar. The party took the elevator down to Sentridge Harbor in the Great Sword's Base, Cadensia Region, and met Samon the Nopon, who needs 300 Ether Cylinders to power a ship for the party's use. Back in the City, the party talked to Timna at the Caelum Residential Quarter for information. The party will now continue the quest "Castle Access".
The party resumes at the City Camp in the City, Swordmarch.
To continue "Castle Access", they skip travel to the Material Storage Warehouse landmark in the Great Sword's Hilt outside town. There, they talk to Miyori for a scene. During the event, they choose to stay put.
A battle with the Supply-Raiding Ansels. There is an elite Planaa Ansel and four Seeth Ansels. No worries for my party.
Another scene takes place afterwards. The party obtains 300 Ship Ether Cylinders to take to Samon.
Afterwards, the party skip travels to the Fuller Elevator Landing in the Great Sword's Base, Cadensia Region. They go to the Sentridge Harbor Control and talk to Samon for a scene. "Castle Access" complete! The party must go rest at the Lost Numbers Dorm.
The party skip travels to the City Camp in the City, Swordmarch. They approach the Lost Numbers Dorm for a long cutscene sequence. The next destination is Sentridge Harbor. However, they will work on side quests before they go to the boat.
The party goes to the northwest ladders and works their way to Ribelly Plaza in the southwest. They approach Gigi, San, and Shiner to start the standard quest "Unsolved Riddle". Time for a treasure hunt!
The party can now open the door to the Training Ground. There are four Light Sources around town. The correct one is on the roof of the Michiba Canteen. It is reachable by a ladder on the northwest side of the building. The party examines the Light Source for a scene. They obtain the Cross-Stamped Box.
The party returns to Ribelly Plaza for a scene with Gigi and the boys. The treasure hunt continues.
The party goes to Caelum Residential Quarter. In a hall above Memorial Hall, they open a door and enter for another scene with their clients.
Then, the party goes to the Torpedo Wrapsmith in Centrilo Parade. They pick up a Torpedo Wrap. This triggers another scene with their clients.
The party goes up to the roof of the Michiba Canteen. They approach the target marker for a scene that introduces Azalea. "Unsolved Riddle" complete!
The party seeks new dialogue around the City after completing the quest. Then, they go to the City Camp and have some more Mild Sizzle-Fizzle Stew. Next time, they will continue questing in the City.

This is the ninth video in my Final Fantasy XIII-2 playthrough. It turns out the artefact that Serah and Noel have been seeking is in Serah's room in NORA House. There is something there that should not be there, and we get the Giant's Artefact from it. Also, a treasure cube appears with the Live Trigger reward.
After some more scenes, the pair heads back towards the meteorite via the Tidal Shallows path. However, before they arrive, they meet up with Gogmagog again! This time, Gogmagog uses a Causality Barrier to reduce damage. When the beast is staggered, attacks will deal normal damage. Otherwise, not too different from the first round. Defeating it will give the party the Gogmagog Fragment Beta.
After Gog is dead again, chocobos appear for Serah and Noel's riding pleasure. Wark!/Kweh!

Previously, as we started the game, Link helped heard the goats of Ordon Village for Fado. The next morning, as his day off started, the local munchkins Beth, Talo, Malo, and Colin dropped by for a visit. Talo and Malo are verrrry interested in the Slingshot that is now available at the shop. Sounds like something Link should get!
So, he heads south from his house to the main part of Ordon Village (time 0:47). Just inside town, Link finds Sera the shopkeeper's husband. He is interested in acquiring bee larva from the beehive above Fado's house. At Sera's Sundries, poor Sera is distressed because her cat ran off. For a funny scene, try talking to Sera's husband again after getting out of Sera's shop and then walk away.
As Link approaches a bluff just south of Sera's Sundries, Jaggle will give him a little lesson on using L-targeting to talk with far-away people (time 5:29). If Link climbs up to talk to him, Jaggle will point out Sera's cat, who is staring at the creek near his house. He also points out that Link likes to whistle on some of the grass growing on a nearby bluff.
So, Link blows on the grass (time 7:37). It summons a hawk that Link can use to grab far-off things or take care of far-off obstacles. Link uses the hawk to knock down the beehive over Fado's house. Afterwards, he climb the tree above Fado's house to get a Blue Rupee (5) and a Yellow Rupee (10).
At Jaggle and Pergie (and Talo and Malo)'s house in the east of town, Pergie will point out that her hubby has been working on a wooden shield for Rusl (time 11:10). Hm, might be worth knowing for later... She also gives Link permission to scold Talo and Malo if they're being brats.
On the raised area atop Mayor Bo's house, Link can find another Yellow Rupee (10) (time 13:56). Another Yellow Rupee is on the bluff to the south, but you may need to have the Boomerang to get it. The hawk doesn't seem interested.
Busting up the pumpkins in the center of town will result in a rebuke from Jaggle (time 15:28). Oops!
Near the southwest bridge, Link finds Rusl's wife, Uli (time 16:14). She is wondering where her Cradle is. Hm, sounds like something Link will have to look for.
At Mayor Bo's house, Link will find "the man" himself (time 18:11). Talking to him will cause a calamity: one of the goats will rush out of the ranch! Link will have to intercept the goat and stop it by holding the A button. This is actually a tutorial for wrestling that Link will have to do later. If you fail, you can talk to Bo to make another attempt. After Link succeeds, talking to Bo again will reveal that the monkeys have been venturing into the village. Hm... Unfortunately, Link cannot enter his house because Ilia is working on something.
At the ranch, Fado will reiterate that Link has the day off work.
To find Uli's Cradle, Link will have to go to the farthest reachable bluff northeast of Sera's Sundries (time 22:09). From here, he can see a monkey hopping on a bluff in the northeastern cul-de-sac. Link must use the grass to summon the hawk and send it to take back the Cradle that the monkey is holding.
He must now "deliver" (heh, heh) the Cradle to Uli (time 23:04). She remembers that there is something she has to give to him. She asks him to take the Cradle up the hill to her house. After this is done, Uli will give Link the Fishing Rod that Colin had made. First item acquired! I think it's actually a bit easier to fish in this game than in Ocarina of Time.
Armed with the Fishing Rod, Link heads around the back side of Jaggle and Pergie's house, where Sera's cat is lurking (time 25:28). Now, when I first played, I tried forever to catch this cat, but he wants nothing to do with Link at first. Maybe it's the goat smell. Since the cat was interested in fish, Link should catch fish. He will most likely catch a Greengill. Catching this first fish will also get the cat's attention.
Afterwards, Link must catch another fish (time 27:09). When he catches it, the cat will snatch it and race back home! Ha ha! That cat is quite a runner.
Link heads back to Sera's Sundries (time 28:03). Look at that adorable kitty lapping up his milk. Sera is so delighted that she rewards Link with Bottle #1, which comes with a half serving of Milk. This will replenish 3 Hearts. However, the real prize is the Bottle, which Link can reuse as he likes.

Previously, the party did some sidequesting. In Tzen, they picked up the Seraph magicite. They carried out some tasks for the wounded soldier in Mobliz and earned a Tintinnabulum relic. Finally, they hunted down some bestiary entries west of the Veldt and near Thamasa. Now, the party will continue sidequesting, starting with the Auction House in Jidoor.
Overworld:
The party resumes outside Mobliz. They fly to Jidoor and enter town.
Jidoor (time 0:51):
The party goes north and enters the Auction House. At this point in the story, the Auction House will have two pieces of magicite available to sell. They are expensive but definitely worth picking up.
They join the bidding. The first item item that they find up for sale is the Golem magicite. Yes, please! At the end of the bidding war, the party buys Golem for 20,000 gil. Golem teaches the spells Protect, Stop, and Cura. It provides a Stamina +2 boost at level-up. Golem is also a useful Esper to summon in battle. It establishes Earthen Wall, which protects the party from physical damage.
The player earns the achievement "Bidding Battle" for winning an item at auction.
The party leaves the Auction House and returns. The next item that they find up for sale is an Angel Wings relic. It puts auto-Float on the wearer. It will be available at a relic shop later in the game, so the party does not bother bidding. Besides, the party has the Float spell, which works on all allies.
The party leaves the Auction House and returns. The next item that they find up for sale is the Zona Seeker magicite. Yes, please, again! At the end of the bidding war, the party buys Zona Seeker for 10,000 gil. Zona Seeker teaches the spells Rasp, Osmose, and Shell. More importantly, it provides a Magic +2 boost at level-up. Zona Seeker can be summoned to put Shell on the whole party, which could be useful.
The player earns the achievement "Magicite Collector" for obtaining 15 pieces of magicite.
The party leaves the Auction House and returns. The next item that they find up for sale is the Talkobo, a talking chocobo. This is one thing that the party can never win.
The party leaves the Auction House and returns. The last item that is available at this point in the game is an Angel Ring relic. It puts auto-Regen on the wearer. The Angel Ring is available elsewhere later.
Afterwards, the party leaves Jidoor.

Previously, the party finished gathering materials for the Accurate Grace X gem. They gathered Centuris Legs from Centuris Levnises in Keves Castle. When they had finished, they crafted Accurate Grace X. Now, they will begin gathering materials for the Swelling Scourge X gem. They will begin by gathering Caterpile Antennas from Rotten Caterpiles on Daedal Isle. Then, they will gather Rare Urchon Eggs from the Barbed Merod on Anu Shoals.

The party resumes at Vinisog Holm Camp in the Erythia Sea, Cadensia Region. For Swelling Scourge X, they already have 30 Obsidian Kananus Manes of the correct rarity. These can be obtained from Eruno Kananuses in the final stretch of Origin. The party also has 30 Springy Medooz Balls of the correct rarity. These can be obtained from the Phantasmagorical Rist in the Great Cotte Falls, Pentelas Region.
The party skip travels to the Fifth Pillar Remnant on Daedal Isle. They go west and drop off the plateau. North of the isle's central lagoon, they hunt Rotten Caterpiles for Caterpile Antennas. Two of these Caterpiles are elite, so getting a Burst Combo or two is not too difficult.
Mio masters the Lifesage class. She changes her class to Troubadour.
Eventually, the party finishes gathering 30 Caterpile Antennas of the correct rarity.
Next, they skip travel to the Barbed Merod grave on the northeast isle in the Anu Shoals. They repeatedly resurrect and fight the Barbed Merod for Rare Urchon Eggs. It does not take long, since they already have 25 Rare Urchon Eggs from hunting the Barbed Merod previously.
After a short time, the party finishes gathering 30 Rare Urchon Eggs of the correct rarity.
They skip travel to the Titan Rock Camp in Great Cotte Falls, Pentelas Region. They rest and save. Next time, they will hunt Shenk Grebels in the Low Maktha Wildwood for Grebel Carapaces. It probably will not take long, so they may also get started gathering ingredients for another gem.

Previously, the party traveled northwest through Ladras Way in Captocorn Peak, Upper Aetia Region. Along the way, they defeated the Timbercorn Cthinos. Then, they revealed the Cloudkeep. They next met Dorin and Bambam at the Ladras Camp and carried out the standard quest "The Big, Unseen Monster". Following this, they did Dorin and Bambam's final quest, "So Much More to See", and helped Dorin find medicine for his friend. Now, they will explore the Cloudkeep and hopefully meet the true Queen of Agnus. They will also take out a persistent creep and finish Chapter 6 finally.
The party resumes at the Ladras Camp in Captocorn Peak, Upper Aetia Region.
They skip travel to Spoondrift Gate in the Cloudkeep. They go north from the entrance and then downstairs. To the northwest on the next level down, they find a Container.
From the entrance, the party goes west and follows the long sequence of corridors and stairways to the upper level.
When they reach the door at the top, a long cutscene takes place. My, what a predictably dastardly turn of events.
After the scene, it is boss time against Moebius J and Moebius D. Moebius J can do a few irritating tricks, like putting a damage field on the battlefield, so wiping him out first is a good idea. Then, the party can take out D without J's interference.
Another long cutscene takes place. We finally learn some details about Moebius D. Oh dear, we have a murderous psychopath on our hands. Time to put him out of our misery.
After the scene, it is boss time against Moebius D & J.
More cutscenes take place after the battle. Sad in one way, but very fortunate in a couple others. End of Chapter 6!
Chapter 7 opens with a long cutscene about the how this world came into being. The Queen of Agnus's name is familiar if you have played Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
The party finally gains control in the Hall of the Serene. A Container is in the west of the room.
The party approaches the Queen on the southern balcony for another cutscene sequence. Their next objective is to return to the Cloudkeep's entrance to find a transport back to the City.
The party backtracks to the stairway bridge leading out of the Cloudkeep. Next time, they will take the transport back to the City.
