And while opinions are certainly as unique as the individual formulating them, there were a number of statements in this article that we both took difference to.
So, while we didn't agree with the article, it did spur an interesting conversation about why we didn't agree and this is our InRangeTV video response.

Today we had the opportunity to speak with L. James "Jim" Sullivan, one of the original designers of the AR-15 rifle. He started working as a draftsman for Eugene Stoner at Armalite, and wound up being largely responsible for converting the AR-10 down to .223 caliber. His later work would include the Ultimax LMG, Ruger Mini-14, and many other firearms.
Recently, Jim has gone back to the AR-15, designing 60- and 100-round quad-stack magazines for Surefire. He has also designed a number of modifications to the rifle to improve its controllability and ability to handle a continuous high rate of fire. The modifications include:
Heavier bolt carrier
Anti-bounce floating weight in the carrier
Heavier, radiated gas tube
Adjustable gas port
Open-bolt full auto FCG (closed-bolt when in semiauto)
Hopefully these modifications will be brought to market by Surefire, but if not they will become available to any other manufacturer interested in licensing them from Mr. Sullivan.

Miracle Valley, Arizona is a mere 8 miles north of the Mexican border, wedged on highway 92 between Sierra Vista and Tombstone.
In 1959, a traveling tent revivalist preacher named A.A. Allen was gifted ranch land and he based his ministry there as his HQ, reaching out through via radio, travel and eventually TV to spread the word of his ability to heal and, uhm...resurrect the dead.
One of his followers moved her Chicago based pentecostal cult like church to this same location in 1978 after A.A. Allen's likely alcohol related death in 1970.
Four years later, after an accidental bomb explosion, multiple riots, one shootout and at least four deaths later, this cult mostly moved back to Chicago...
This is that story.

What's more American than a rifle match on July 4th, you might ask?
InRange's answer to that question? Use an M1 Garand!
While the match wasn't specifically WW2 themed, the stages were aligned well for it to be and stage 3 continues that trend. :)
In this stage 3, we have two WW2 style field sand bag bunker emplacements with blind long range target engagements. You start at one bunker, forced to fire out of a very challenging firing position at targets only previously identified via a drawn range card. You then have to move to another sandbag position and re-engage the same targets however the entire presentation changes due to the angle shift. This was quite a challenging stage!
First, let's thank our match hosts, Independence Training:

In the autumn of 1939, Poland found itself in the target of two huge military powers who colluded to split its territory and wreak a terrible toll on its people. Many would have simply collapsed under such an onslaught, but the Polish Home Army - and a variety of other Polish Resistance organizations - stood up to the challenge and fought against both Nazi and Soviet domination.
Our Polish Resistance Vintage Operator is shown with an iconic Polish underground manufactured Błyskawica submachine gun and standing on the tattered remains of both authoritarian flags.
