I have nothing against Flintlock Engineering personally. I just found what I think was a fair oversight in his video and wanted to make that information available. I don't personally find any utility for Sturdy in kinetic weaponry outside of some very, very niche situations.
If you'd like me to do a video like this on a particular modification / experimental, feel free to drop a comment. I'm very busy but I love doing these sorts of analytics so I will probably do it eventually.
I appreciate the irony of in having to say the "magic words" in the video to demonstrate the point that I have invoked the YouTube SEO demons.
Obviously I've made some simplifications:
I assume that YouTube does not take away subs.
I assume that YouTube recommends larger channels more than smaller channels
I assume all reach is internal (So if you're posting to reddit and getting views that way, you'd need to add some kind of scaling "reach" factor).
Probably some other stuff I forgot to think about.
None of these assumptions take away from the key point which is that you want as many people who aren't subbed to you as possible viewing your video. That's why people post videos on reddit, to expand their reach. Otherwise they could just tell mom and her facebook friends to watch the video and never share it to ensure 100% subscriber view.

Short version: If it doesn't change the power gap between combatants, it's not a good weapon. Shunsui's Bankai doesn't really change the power gap.

I want to encourage everyone to run adblock as they watch my videos because YouTube ain't giving me a dime.
In this video, we take a look at GSRPs and SCBs (which provide a similar but not identical purpose before someone in the comments decides to fight me about it). I rate the modules on an energy efficiency basis. GSRPs are really inefficient compared to SCBs and should only be used if you plan to regen your shield via regen instead of by deploying SCBs. I wouldn't use them on larger ships, especially since larger ships can take advantage of larger slots.
As always if there's something you want me to lab out on a spreadsheet, feel free to post a comment about it. Might take a look at it if someone else hasn't covered it before.

Q: Is there anything we can do to make a system more profitable.
A: No. This was in my prior guide but I maybe I should put it here too. System population is hard coded. The only way the population of a system can change is if FDev manually do this. There were murmurs that FDev was planning to change some system populations with the Odyssey update.

Time to farm some salt. I'm not trying to be mean, and there are legitimate reasons to use Bi-weave shields. Regeneration just isn't that reason.
Errors in Video:
1. I used a Viper III as my example for Class 4 Shields. Unfortunately, I pulled it from memory and while my builds in EDSY are correct and use the right numbers, they're for Class 3 Shields and not Class 4. The video has no Class 4 comparison for ships, it has Class 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The sheet will be updated and a Class 4 Shield Comparison added.
2. The regen values posted are those for the base shield. When you factor in resistances, you usually wind up getting a regen that is 3-4 times higher (this is for all shields). So it you want, you could put your effective regen rate (there is a tool to calculate that) in the box and see how long you'll take to regen.
Update: I will note that upon re-evaluation I don't really like the way my "Break-Even Equation" works. It's fundamentally a ratio of regen rates and the reason I don't like it is because I think it focuses on the wrong thing. Shields don't protect you when they're not in use. It's better to contemplate that particular issue on play-session experience and while I will admit, I've got some stupid play-session times, there's a different feel to that kind of analysis. There is a planned follow-up video which goes into stress testing but the sheets haven't been made yet.

Yeah unfortunately I can't do anything about the frame drops. If I have bloom at zero it doesn't give me any issues but it seems the game does something where it resets bloom or something between screens or something idk. Anyway for that reason while I time in RTA, realistically the time is a little lower.
Lots of room for improvement on bosses and LOTS AND LOTS of room for improvement on screens.

This is the last of my Golden Week videos. Figured while I had the time, may as well get this one out of the way. Once again, I have no beef with Flintlock, my beef is with misinformation, easily testable and provable misinformation. I checked the description in Flintlock's vid and there wasn't any kind of correction. It's possible that Flintlock's claims were true at the time of post but they are no longer true and people are still commenting how much they're learning. If Flintlock is an active content creator, he should at least post an update or correction on his video. Had he done so, I probably would not have made this video.
