Brock is one of the Kanto Leaders in the Pokémon World Tournament that can be battled in either the Kanto Leaders or World Leaders Tournaments. Brock is skilled in using Rock type Pokémon. Onix will use Stealth Rock to hurt anyone switching out and Sand Tomb to prevent escape for 2-5 turns. Golem will use Iron Defense to raise its Defense stat and Sucker Punch to strike first with a Dark Gem powering it up for once. Kabutops will use Swords Dance to power up and Aqua Jet to strike first. Omastar will use Ancientpower to raise it stats sometimes. Aerodactyl will use Tailwind to speed its team up for 3 turns and Thunder Fang to paralyze foes. Relicanth will use Rock Polish to speed up and Rock Slide with a Rock Gem taking effect for once. There is a lone item box by a patch of grass after the race begins. There are item boxes by the sides of the grassy patches throughout, so if you tend to risk all, be sure to get some items. You’ll find a set of item boxes before making a sharp turn crossing a bridge. Navigate the grass and you’ll find more item boxes. Complete 5 laps to finish.

As you explore the Lunar Subterrane, you’ll find a weapon called the Crystal Sword, but as you’re about to take it, you’ll have to have a duel with a Wyvern. The Wyvern will use a mega flare, which will strike all of your fighters at once. If the Wyvern uses the reflect spell, it will bounce your spells back, but if you let Rydia summon Bahamut, it can bypass the reflector. Be sure to use curing and life spells whenever necessary. After the battle, you’ll receive the Crystal Sword.

The Hinox will move slowly but will eventually charge towards you. If it grabs you, it will throw you to a random spot. There are also cracks on the floor that will break open when landed on. Just keep hitting the Hinox with the sword until it falls. Afterwards, a warp portal will guide you back to the entrance.

Opelucid City’s gym features a puzzle with dragon heads adjusting and to choose a path to battle trainers. After different types of battles, keep using the dragon statues to move up and you’ll battle the gym leader. Drayden uses Dragon type Pokémon. In Challenge Mode, Druddigon holds a Sitrus Berry with the addition of Altaria. Druddigon has the ability Sheer Force that causes more damage although the moves have their added effects eliminated. Flygon will use Earth Power to lower the target’s Special Defense stat and Rock Slide to make the target flinch. Altaria will use Cotton Guard to raise it Defense stat drastically and Sing to put opponents to sleep. Haxorus will use Dragon Dance to gain power and Shadow Claw for critical hits. After the battle, you’ll receive the Legend Badge and a TM82 (Dragon Tail). The user moves last when using this move and when it strikes, it forces the opponent to switch out for another Pokémon. If Dragon Tail hits a wild Pokémon, the battle ends.
