In the central chamber of the Temple of Fiends, you’ll encounter Garland, who kidnapped the Princess Sarah. The central chamber will be locked until you have first interacted with the King of Cornelia at the Cornelia Castle. Once inside the central chamber, Garland will stand up front, wanting to challenge you. Since Garland only relies on physical attacks, you can just attack it head-on and allow your Mages to cast spells to either heal or spell other elements for bigger damage. After the battle, you’ll be able to escort Princess Sarah back to the king.

Steven can only be battled in the Champions Tournament. He uses some Steel types while the other half of his team is revived from fossils. Metagross will use Zen Headbutt to make opponents flinch and strike first using Bullet Punch. Aggron holding an Air Balloon will use Head Smash while the Rock Head ability prevents recoil damage and Metal Burst to counter any attack. Excadrill will use Sandstorm to make its Sand Rush ability take effect and Rock Slide to make opponents flinch. Archeops will use Quick Attack to strike first and Acrobatics after the Sitrus Berry is consumed. Cradily will use Stone Edge for critical hits. Armaldo will use Rock Blast to strike 2-5 times and Superpower with a White Herb restoring the lowered stats for once. Moves like Scald and Flamethrower work best for this round.

Battle this female executive known to be Ariana, while Lance deals with the Grunt. Arbok can poison targets using Poison Sting while using Wrap to prevent getaways for 2-5 turns. Gloom will steal the HP of targets using Absorb. Murkrow will use Haze to eliminate all stat changes. After the battle, team up with Lance to knock out the Electrode causing problems to the generator.

Ride some moving platforms and you’ll next see ground insects along with hard beetles. The next boss is a skeletal stag beetle. When it jumps very high, run under it. Defeat this boss and cross the adjusting pillars to reach the goal.

The stage begins with a room of enemy paintings. In the next room, a wizard will drop magic to break rocky blocks. Go through the next door below rocky blocks and you’ll descend by sets of cannons. After a spiky square, go through the next door and you’ll see 3 partners. Let the wizard break the rocky blocks so you can make your choice. Enter the door at the end of the room and you’ll enter a hall of thief copters. The next room has cloud snakes and use the door before the one by the wall. Carve star blocks to form an HB-007. Once you hear a siren, you have formed the required object that you’ll meet later. Cross a room of spiders then enter another room with a wizard. Use the door at the end and you’ll see some samurais with weapons. Use the door at the top and let the wizard open the way. In the final room, some of the enemies will come to life despite acting as paintings. At the goal, you’ll receive a Heart Star if you carved star blocks into the same shape as the HB-007 before.

Defeat some moth missiles and climb a few ladders. Board the big hornet platforms and you’ll reach the checkpoint. Fall by the edge and you’ll find a heart for a life gauge upgrade on one of the big hornet platforms. Watch for spinning cannons attached to some of the big hornet platforms. Ride the button platforms and you’ll reach the next checkpoint. The next section has some spinning cannons and flame cannons. Destroy a wall of big squares with the Drill Crush and enter the capsule to give Zero some armor that will reduce damage from hazards. Defeat the rest of the enemies and a hole will form, allowing you to enter the doors to take on 4 wall cannons. When the cannon lights up, attack it before it throws a pellet. Moth missiles will be coming, so don’t be distracted. Defeat all 4 wall cannons and use the doors ahead to encounter Blast Hornet. Blast Hornet will summon smaller units from its underside. The Sonic Slicer by X and the Dasher by Zero will deal more damage. Defeat Blast Hornet and you’ll receive the Bomb Bee for X or the Earth Gaizer for Zero.

Break a treasure box to get the “K” letter. A Krook will throw a hook when you come close to it. Use a spinning barrel to ascend and use the DK Barrel by 3 Klomps. Use the next barrel to ascend and go by 3 more Klomps (one holds a Photograph) to let Dixie flutter to a set of barrels by Zinger. Use both barrels and you’ll enter the B Barrel. The first bonus area has treasure boxes all over. You have 20 seconds to keep hitting the red Zinger and see which box has the Kremkoin. Back in the main area, throw Dixie at her barrel to get some prizes, including a Golden Feather. Go by some Krooks and ascend with the spinning barrels. After ascending a little, you’ll find the Star Barrel. Throw your partner left to enter a one-way barrel and another B Barrel. The 2nd bonus area has spinning barrels all over. Make it to the top within 25 seconds to find the Kremkoin. Back in the main area, continue ascending and you’ll find the “O” letter by a Krook. Hit the crate to reveal Squawks and shoot pebbles to take out enemies. After descending a little, you’ll find the “N” letter over a red Zinger. Ascend by a few Krooks and Mini-Necky birds then turn right after defeat one Krook to enter a secret area. Ascend in the secret area to find the DK Coin and another B Barrel. The 3rd bonus area has Zingers all over. Shoot pebbles to defeat them all within 30 seconds for a Kremkoin. Back in the main area, ascend by some more birds and bees to make it to the top. Pass the animal sign for a banana bunch and you’ll find the goal. The prize shuffle has the “G” letter so use the barrel to hit the target for the letter.
