Zulu Wars Related Board Games, Wargames and Film. Part 2 of 2
Zulu Wars Related Board Games, Wargames and Film. Part 1 of 2.
I start by looking at more online resources, this time related to wargames. We look at a brilliant wargame set up for recreating Roakes Drift.
I take a look at playing the battle on a one to one scale - at 15mm. I bought a ton of Essex miniatures and many other cheaper makes to vary the size, including dixon or galia miminatures, and naismith design and warrior miniatures.
Risk Board Game Strategy. Part 2 of 9.
I start by covering the most popular Rules and Variants.
I then go on to talk about Diplomacy, particularly relating to the start and pre-start of the game. I also touch on some Dynamic Concepts related to diplomacy.
North Sea Oil Board Game. Review of this Vintage Trading Game.
Part 1 - The Basics.
I unbox the game, take you through the components and explain roughly how to play. Essentially this is a very wonderful blend of dare, poker, politics, strategy and a little luck.
It will also bring out the devious side of you - a perfect board game in other words.
Monopoly 1972 Edition by Waddingtons.
This is a British version of the game. I take the viewer through the contents of the game aand the gist of playing it (a more detailed look at the best tactics follows in a later series).
Carcassonne Board Game Review. How to Play and Strategies. (Part 2 of 5)
I complete my look at the rules, begin to delve into how to win. I start by looking at the number of turns per number of players (it changes depending on how many are playing), and then I take a detailed look at the tiles.
You need to know about the tile distribution to make good decisions, and have a rough feel for what is probably to come. Perhaps an exact feel if your memory powers are superb.
Risk - 1963 Edition.
An unboxing and Review of Game Play.
The 1963 edition as far as I'm concerned is the classic version of the game. The pieces are little tubes or triangles.
In the video I show all the pieces, the gist of how to play, and a hint of the best tactics. However a number of wonderful mulit-part series will be unleashed on here soon showing how to win in various situations.
**Warhammer or Wargames Terrain Tile System 8ft x 4ft. **
This is a home made Terrain Tile system, suitable for Warhammer or Wargames. My games club used it for 15mm/ 25mm Wargames.
This is a Demo of a typical set up, with a river or road running through the center of the board. Just take out the road section and underneath is a river.
It's a Silent Movie, not quite from the black and white movie days - 2010 to be exact. I sold the system to a Warhammer player shortly afterwards. Before then I'd played WW2 Tank battles, Medieval skirmishes and battles, a Zulu campaign, and lots of ECW battles.
History Board Games Trailer.
At Historygamer.com we play strategy board games, based on history (with the odd exception here and there). Usually vintage versions of games as well.
In addition I review board games. My reviews often contain strategies on how to win or at least play well.
For subscribers, there is the hall of fame. It's very hard to get into it, as you have to win a game to score any points.
