Started off looking at "http://sbctoday.com/comparing-calvinism-to-sbc-traditionalism" this "chart" published at SBCToday and noting that, well, there won't be much progress in pursuing the truth of these matters as long as one side refuses to accurately represent the other, that's for sure! Then I reviewed "http://www.mmoutreach.org/tg/come-john6-37" comments here by Cheryl Schatz regarding John 6:37, and her particular way of undercutting John 6's testimony to monergism. Then I snuck a few Enyart clips in before we wrapped up.
BTW, Mrs. Schatz mentioned she is having surgery tomorrow, so we should definitely pray for the Lord's blessings upon the doctors, and for healing, health, and grace.

Covered a wide range of topics today. Started off with Tim Keller’s tweets regarding voting and abortion, then moved into Anthony Bradley’s assertion that the Puritans would be alt-right racists in 2020. Talked a little about the CDC’s promoting critical race theory, and then read an article by a “former Christian” feeding into the panic from HuffPo. Finished off (starting at 55 minutes into the program) with a discussion of New Testament and Qur’anic textual criticism in response to an article by Bassam Zawadi. 90 minutes total. No programs next week, as Rich and I will both be out of town the entire week, and even on the one day when he would be back, I will be stuck with an access speed of about 2400 baud!

Mainly focused on a debate from Melbourne on the Qur'an today, but included a response to Yusuf Ismail's use of Matthew 10 in the (always) vain attempt to establish the idea that Jesus was ONLY sent to the Jews and that His message was not for all men everywhere.

Started off with the tremendous danger of the current push to establish a global “pandemic authority” by treaty that would basically (I know this sounds crazy but…it isn’t) made Bill Gate king of the world. Seriously, whether your three year old child would have to be injected with untested, dangerous potions would be decided by someone five thousand miles away who was never elected and has no accountability to anyone. Must fight this insanity.
Then we really changed gears and started talking church history, the “Great Tradition,” and important, related issues. I wanted to get into hermeneutics as well, but ran out of time. Did some reading of Fulgentius and Irenaeus as well. Fun for all!

Started with a little video that Apologia Studios put together (thanks to Carman and Isaac) of Jeff and I competing in the apologists’ bracket, and then looked at a tweet from R. Scott Clark kicking me out of Reformedville (well, nothing overly new there), before moving back to the 2018 interview with Leighton Flowers and Ken Wilson. Last program for the week as I need to go help my daughter and her family move to Phoenix (yay!). Back, Lord willing, on Monday. Covered some issues relating to racialism, including a webcast from SEBTS, at the start. Then listened to key elements of Andy Stanley’s sermon “unhooking” the Old Testament from the New Testament Church. Then we took calls on a wide variety of topics, including cessationism and continuationism, Mormonism, particular redemption, and more. Only one more program before I head overseas for nearly three weeks! Visit the store at https://doctrineandlife.co/

Well, the fumes weren't that bad, I must admit, but there were a few. Whole new look for the studio (and it will probably be different come tomorrow, too). But that aside, we jumped into the incredible intolerance of the left in the US and the treatment of anyone who would dare to stand for truth or morality in reference to marriage. Then we moved into William Lane Craig's promulgation of the idea that the Council of Nicea had something to do with the canon of Scripture (it didn't), and then commented on Dan Barker's recent threats. Then finished up reviewing Ahmed Deedat's message to "All Christians."

Is The Roman Catholic Priesthood Biblical and Ancient? (5/29/03)
James White and Fr. Mitchell Pacwa debate the validity of the Roman Priesthood. Does the New Testament describe an office of priest in the Church today? Does the New Testament teach that there is a Christian Prieshood? Are priests to be unmarried as Rome teaches? Is it true as the Council of Trent declared that a New Testament Priesthood was transformed from the Old? Is it correct to call someone "Father?" What is the priesthood of all believers as mentioned in the New Testament? What are the Biblical offices in the Church today? These questions and many more are answered in this debate. A wide variety of issues are discussed. This subject also ties in with the subjects of the Mass, purgatory, confession, and the celibacy of priests in Roman Catholic theology. This debate is probably the best debate these two gentlemen have ever had. Highly recommended. (2 hours 44 minutes) Visit the store at https://doctrineandlife.co/
Took the first half of the program to consider miracles, the Christian, resurrection, and the current events at Bethel Church in California. Then we looked at the issue of pronoun usage in the post-Obergefell world with some insights from Rosaria Butterfield who has changed her view on the topic in light of Obergefell.
