Let’s get started by looking into: what is the Traxia Foundation and what is LiqEase? You purchased and hold utility tokens that have been issued by the Traxia Foundation, a non-profit entity incorporated and governed by Swiss law, and are known as TMT/TM2. The tokens have always had and will always have the utility of settling fees that are due to what we called issuing / listing providers in the Traxia ecosystem that the foundation targets to establish. Issuing fees are as simple as settling a fee to e.g. LiqEase for acquiring an asset such as for example an invoice occurred in a cross border trade of smartphones between China and Switzerland which are targeted to be in the range of 1% of the sale and fully or partially settled in TM2 by the ecosystem participant e.g. LiqEase. Another misunderstanding: That we have spent 15 million USD. A utility has hence not only always been given but was further supported by the foundation artificially by using the Ethereum that were received in exchange for TMT/TM2 (ca. 15,000 Ethereum in total) and amounting to ca. 6,000 Ethereum plus costs associated to such market making activities conducted by 3rd parties and solely benefited you as token holders. As a crypto project, the foundation kept assets in Ethereum which due to the devaluation of Ethereum led to a FX loss of around 7 Mio. Swiss Francs in 2018 that is on top of the Ethereum expenditure to purchase TMT/TM2. By the end of 2018 however, the market and demand for the utility token was not picking up for the ecosystem as initially expected resulting in no market driven demand for TMT/TM2 which consequently lead to the suspension of purchasing the issued TMT/TM2 token benefiting its initial purchasers by the Traxia Foundation. As mentioned, this was due to concerns of the long term feasibility of the project and establishment of an ecosystem that supports closing the trade finance gap as conceptualized. We, along with the rest of the crypto industry now understand that it is very difficult to build an ecosystem, and bootstrap a community - specifically managing what is essentially a public project with the expectations, around the clock management, and financial risk management which has a significant cost.
