Sriman Narayana
Sriman Narayana is a famous Annamacharya Krithi in praise of Lord Venkateswara. Just like how the deputies of a King address him 3 times before entering the palace, here, the narrator considers Lord Venkateswara of Thirupathi as a King, and addresses Him ‘Sriman Narayana’ 3 times. The usage of Kamala in the Anupallavi is beautiful. It is recited 8 times because Sriman Narayana in Sanskrit is called Ashtaksharam. This composition depicts Bhakthi, devotion and ultimate surrender to the Supreme. Sriman Narayana, in Ragam Bowli, Thalam Adi, a composition of Shri Annamacharya, and choreographed by Smt Shobana Balachandra.
