**PLEASE TAKE NOTE: "Starship Troopers" the novel is very different from the popular film adaptation directed by Paul Verhoeven.**
"Starship Troopers", by Robert Heinlein, follows the military career of Juan "Johnny" Rico as he moves from recruit to officer during a war between humanity and an alien species of arachnids. Interspersed between Rico's journey are flashbacks to his education. The discussions and lessons offer insight into how the current government, the Terran Federation, functions and the society of Earth in this distant future. "Starship Troopers" laid the foundation for many science fiction themes and imagery, including powered armored soldiers, orbital troop deployments, and so much more. Please, enjoy this sci-fi classic, and hope you have an amazing day.

'The Traders' is the fourth of five short stories combined into Isaac Asimov's "Foundation". Despite the reach of Terminus' science-disguised-as-religion, some worlds continue to reject the Foundation's outreach. One such planet is Askone, rich in natural resources but culturally superstitious about technology. To break the impasse and free a captured emissary, the Foundation dispatches Limmar Poyets is sent to resolve the crisis. What can be done and how can Poyets, a lone merchant, change the minds of an entire world's leadership?

In the imagined future of George Orwell's "1984", Winston Smith dreams of rebelling against the totalitarian government of Oceania and it's Party. Living as just another cog in the vast authoritarian machine of IngSoc (English Socialism), Winston knows he will eventually be discovered in his minor acts of rebellion, due to the ever-present surveillance of the Party. But strange occurrences involving two other people, Julia and O'Brien, pull Winston into uncovering the secrets of The Party and what truly goes on within the world of "1984".
Published in 1949, "1984" remains relevant today. So many of our phrases come from Orwell's work, from "doublespeak" to "thought crime". Please support good fiction by purchasing a copy for yourself. I hope you have a fantastic day.

Listen on in "Second Foundation: Search by The Foundation".
Due to the lack of an updated audiobook for '2010" Odyssey Two', I wanted to share my copy from cassette tape. Bear in mind the quality of tapes from the 1980's, but I do hope you enjoy & have an amazing day.
In the aftermath of an extraterrestrial arrival, six areas around the globe are marked by their presence. Called "Visitation Zones", strange phenomena and objects remain where alien forces left their mark. Humanity now tries to understand what has happened, heavily restricting access to the Visitation Zones. However, the profits to be had draw in scavengers, called "stalkers", to bring the artifacts to willing customers. Redrick Schuhardt is one of those stalkers salvaging the remains of this alien Roadside Picnic.
'Roadside Picnic' was published in the former Soviet Union by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky in 1972. The novel would provide inspiration for a film made in 1979, as well as the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game series. Receiving heavy censorship from Soviet authorities, it would not be until 2012 that a version restored to its original version was available. I hope you enjoy, and wishing you all happiness.
