The year 2020 has not had many highlights to say the least. But one in the railway world was the Staycation express operated by Rail Charter Services LTD. It offered First Class Covid-19 secure stock for a day trip out on the Settle and Carlisle line between Skipton and Appleby, With the great views of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, It also sprung some delights of traction with Class 20, 37, 40 and 47 locomotives all having a jolly!
I have previously uploaded The Settle Carlisle line video from about 4 years ago, But having had the oppourtunity did it again in glorious 4K, But changing the format a little I have started a new playlist of Great days out by train which I will expand once filming allows due to the Pandemic restrictions. This was Filmed on 24/08/20 on an LNER Azuma, Northern Class 333 and LSL TOC LTD Brush Sulzer type 4 47712. The weather for the day out was absolutely stunning and has afforded some great views of the scenery on offer. I hope that Rail Charter Services LTD run the services in 2021 as it was a great success. Sit back and enjoy the views.
Many thanks to our paypal subscribers.

A beautiful Drivers Eye view along the English Riviera from Paignton through Torquay to Netwon Abbot. Past the National Hunt racecourse then along side the Teign estuary to Teignmouth and along the Sea wall that spectaculary got washed away on the night of Febraury 14th 2014, leaving the line closed for weeks whilst it was rebuilt and re-enforced. We then continue on through Starcross and along side the Exe estuary before crossing the River Exe and our arrival into Exeter St Davids. Watchout for the Bug!

This film is 3+ years old and was filmed as part of a project. Unfortunately due to restrictions imposed by Managers at the Time in cab sound was not permitted to be recorded. This is filmed in 1080HD on board a stopping service from Penzance to Exeter St Davids.
A wonderful Journey through Cornwall into Devon traversing the World famous Royal Albert Bridge over the River Tamar. Starting at Bodmin Parkway we wind our way through the lush green countryside with blue skies overhead. We commence at Bodmin Parkway and carry on through Liskeard before entering into Devon and into Plymouth. Enjoy and especially those in Tier 3 covid area's who can't travel at present.
Once again sorry for the lack of sound, not my decision.
