Quick Sample Flyovers of the 1st Hole at Glenross Golf Club
Took the opportunity during a day of very little play on the course to shoot a couple test flyovers for GGC. It's partially underexposed due to the high frame rate (ability to run the video at super slow motion) which also picked up some frame resonance on my yet unfinished long rang rig.
From a couple weeks ago on a work trip to Phoenix. Took the chance to try my first cliff dive at the Superstition Mountains. When I looked at the footage later on I realized I flew the entire day on bent props. Talk about the biggest letdown of the trip...
Testing a nightly build of Betaflight 4.3 on my spare quad. New props, plus I found my GoPro mount for this QAV-S frame. Time for some high speed, speed ramping testing in Davinci Resolve. 240fps. Oh yeah.
I've spent more time in Los Angeles, CA this fall than at any point prior. From a freestyle or long range drone perspective there's not many places I'm comfortable flying as I'm usually on my own. Simi Valley, in the open and close of the video, is so picturesque, but finding a spot to fly and launch from is challenging. Most places are posted or under control of the State and I don't want to trespass. But at least when I recorded these flights I did find a spot to practice my mountain dives. I'm still new at it and getting comfortable with ExpressLRS.
Flying is different with my long range 7" quad. Just trying to wrap my head around the stylistic difference which will be helped by launching from a spot with better line of sight. But for that flight I wanted to test out obstructions and interference.
Desperately trying to get more comfortable in proximity on my 5". Playgrounds without soft targets are definitely helpful. And chasing Hawks is icing on the cake.
