‘Yakuts at War’ is a documentary about the everyday life of heroes in the ‘Bootur’ volunteer battalion. The soldiers say the SMO is not just a military operation for them, but a fight against evil and the Nazism coming from Ukraine.
The film shows how the men undergo combat training: they are taught to shoot, handle weapons, move on the battlefield, provide first aid, etc. You’ll also see how they’ve set up house at the front: settling into their barracks, cooking, and washing clothes.
Men from various professions and of different ages – from 20 to 60 years old – sign up for the Yakut squad. Some have combat experience, while others are taking up arms for the first time. They are united by one thing: the desire to end the war in Donbass. See our new film ‘Yakuts at War’ about these men.
