(16,670km) 9) Ilyushin 96-400 This Russian airplane can hold 436 passengers and has a fuselage based on the Il-96M/T. It is powered by four Aviadvigatel PS-90A1 engines that allow it to cruise at 870km/h with a service ceiling of just under 40,000 ft. (39,370ft) 8) A340-300 This plane can carry a maximum of 440 passengers, and has a cabin measuring 50.3 m by 5.2. It's powered by four CFM56-5C4 engines and has a service ceiling of 41,100ft. 7) Airbus A330-300 This is the most economical mid-size aircraft with capacity for 440 passengers and a cabin 5.28 meters wide. It can speed along at 541mph (871km/h) and it is powered by General Electric CF6-80E1 or Pratt & Whitney PW4000 or Rolls-Royce Trent 700, depending on the airline. 6) Boeing 777-200 This one has a capacity of 440 passengers with a cabin width of 5.86m. Mozambique is unfortunately more known for its turmoil in its past, than for the beauty it hides within its borders and its people! This being said, as with all countries, there are some things that should be avoided. Here are 8 Things NOT TO Do in Mozambique! 1. Don't Travel Without Cash Mozambique is still an underdeveloped country, while ATMs aren’t non-existent, they are few and far between. If you try to pay by credit card you’ll probably get laughed at! They accept Mozambique Meticals, South African Rands, and US Dollars 2. Don’t Bother Looking For Wifi Mozambique doesn’t have the infrastructure for broadband or wifi. If you need to stay connected, buy a pay as you go sim card which you’ll have to register at the shop and use mobile data, it’s cheap at 7 dollars for 5 GB and top-up cards are sold everywhere. 3. Don’t Use Public Transport! The local buses or “chapas” are normally overcrowded, in bad condition, and the drivers aren’t the most prudent around. Accidents are common. It’s best to hire a car or private driver to get about. 4. Don’t Drink the Tap Water As a general rule of thumb for travel, always drink bottled or filtered water. Always take your malaria tablets, they are readily available in pharmacies without a prescription and cost between 4-7 dollars. 8. Don't Go in the Rainy Season Mozambique is hot and humid, especially between December and April. There are many misconceptions about Nigeria, it's not a poor country, it has a rich culture and cuisine, and not every man there is a prince who wants to give you money. Although Lagos, Abuja, and Calabar seem like well-established tourist locations, there are a few things we should avoid doing when we visit. 1. Don't Flash The Cash. Most places accept credit cards, so the need for cash is low. Avoid carrying cash if possible and if you have to carry cash, avoid showing it. Keep your wallet and phone in your front pockets and don't wear any expensive jewelry or watches. 2. Don't Make Assumptions. Although most Nigerians speak English and almost half are Christians you shouldn't assume their culture is the same. Over half of Nigerians are Muslim and the Nigerian culture is an amalgamation of multiple ethnic groups. 3. Don't Forget Your Vaccines! In addition to your routine vaccines, it is recommended that you get vaccinated for Measles, Yellow fever, Polio, Hepatitis A, Malaria, and Typhoid. It is also a good idea to carry proof of your vaccinations with you as you may be asked for this at the airport. 4. Don't Forget Your Visa. Unless you are a citizen of a neighboring country, you are going to need a visa to enter Nigeria. Start the process at least a month before your trip because it is quite a lengthy process and requires a lot of paperwork. it is also quite expensive, so be prepared! 5. Don't Be Afraid of The Cuisine! Nigeria offers all types of international cuisines but their own is delicious (it maybe a bit spicy!) try "Bolli" which is roasted Plantain "Jollof" rice and "Suya" which are spicy kebabs. 6. Don't say you "Love Africa!" Nigeria is a country, Africa is a continent. Going to Nigeria and telling a Nigerian you love Africa is like going to Cuba and saying you love "North America!" 7. Don,t Go Out Alone At Night Taking walks or going out clubbing alone at night is not recommended. Get a guide or befriend a local, also avoid public transport and book cabs in advance from reputable companies! 8. Don't Forget Your passport Get photocopies of your passport to carry around with you for identification and only show the original at the airport. 9. Pack Carefully! Make sure you pack some necessities in your hand luggage, hold luggage can be delayed or even disappear so to avoid spending days in the same clothes, put some in your carry-on bag.
