Was very happy to be finally able to shoot this match but after driving an hour, I realized that I forgot to take my rig with me (belt, holster and mag pouches). With the help of the range staff and a few friends (they're such good people), we found a spare CR Speed holster for the Glock. It didn't really fit as the trigger guard area was too big for my 2011. Allen Range and his McGuyver mind went into overdrive and fashioned a spacer with pieces of cut up plastic from the USPSA Scoring template and some duct tape. Also, he had to modify the locking mechanism and the muzzle nipple so it'll fit.
Allen then loaned me one of his CR Speed mag pouches and I'm off to the races.
The folks in the shooting community are all upstanding individuals who are super helpful and will always go to lengths to make things work for you.
Thanks Allen!! Sorry for beating you by one place using your handiwork :)

Week #30. Trying to get an update before the Christmas holidays, so here's a light update that includes another new IPSC Medium course by Jason Bird, implemented a prototype way of handling one handed reloads where you can pocket the 2nd controller, and during a reload, click either the trackpad or grip buttons on the 2nd controller to reload the gun immediately, instead of waiting for a second. Hopefully this will make the reloading mechanic better for those playing with one controller. As for multiplayer, you can now see other player's scores after they finish their run.
Changelog v0.42
* IPSC Medium Course - Queensland State 2017 Stage 06
* In one handed gameplay, reload gun by pressing pad or grip button on other controller
* See other player scores
* Fixed Engagement Zone reset issue
* Fixed teleport movement in practice stage
* Fixed Hyperkin Arc Teleporter issue
* Fixed texas and irish plates sticking to capsule
* Upgraded to Unity 2017.3
Enjoy!

This match was very close for JohnV from the Rudy Project team and I. I was leading by 3pts total when we were coming into the last stage. JohnV edged out a win beating me by 6.2pts for the match. It was a fun time.
Checkout the side by side performance comparison between the both of us. So close and similar in times even when we had different stage plans.
Enjoy!

I thought I did pretty good in this match. I shot with TimR who pushed me a little bit. I just need to get used to this ragged speed so I can be more consistent. I won a number of stages but bombed two which made me lose 50-60 points. Overall, I'm happy.

This was a pretty fun match held at the Big Sky Practical Shooting facility in Missoula, Montana. Beautiful country, lovely weather and pretty cool stages. I love to say that I did well, but I didn't meet my expectation. I told myself to shoot the speed of my dot, and lost focus in a few places which led to disastrous results.
That said, I got to stay at a buddy's cabin up in the middle of nowwhere and got to shoot two open guns Akimbo style. Highlight of my trip.

[UPDATE: Here's the mount that I finally made : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rG1HzonMVDc]
I've been wanting to get a new camera for my hatcam footage and have been trying out many different types of cameras. I started with a Contour, then Contour+, dabbled with the Mobius and settled with the Polaroid Cube which is a fantastic and convenient camera. It doesn't have the best video/audio quality but it's certainly easy to use.
Then recently GoPro announced a brand new camera called the GoPro Hero 4 Session. Same form factor as the cube BUT with much higher quality video and audio. That got me stoked and I quickly bought one when it was available.
In this video, I'll give you my unfiltered first impressions of the Hero4 Session camera with a specific use case in mind, which is for shooting. I will be uploading more videos of me using it for a match and figuring out the best way to mount it.
enjoy!

Beautiful day for a match, sun was out the whole day. This was the worst match of the year for me, screwed up many stages. I would attribute it to lack of concentration and focus. Mind wasn't in it I guess. You can see the visual screwup at the classifier (last stage)

It's been a month since I shot a match. Didn't know that my backup gun's sights were off by 4" to the left at 20 yards. Missed to much steel and the 1/2 sized targets.
Anyway, it was good to be able to shoot, even in the miserable rain/cold. Went back home and sat in the hottub for a while to decompress.
