When Lil Nas X released his song Montero (Call Me By Your Name) and his Satanic shoes just before Easter 2021, it caused a stir. And then Jonathan Pageau offered a symbolic analysis of the Satanic tropes in both the Montero music video and the show WandaVision. Pageau not only draws out how the heart of Satanism is pride, but his analysis inspired me to further expound on how Lil Nas X's song is the perfect anthem for gay pride.
