Ashtabula Towne square mall was built in 1992 but doomed to fail from the start. What was once home too quite a few anchor stores. Those include carlisles which seized operation in 1994,Sears,Dillards,JC Penney, Pharmor that closed in the late 1990s replaced by Steve and Barrys which closed in 2005 , a six screen movie theater and a food court that is empty. DIY home warehouse closed it’s doors in 2001 when lowes and Home Depot moved in. DIY came after stambaugh and was the precursor to Home Depot and Lowes. The Eastwood Mall opened in 1969 with Sears,Montgomery Ward, Woolworth and Strouss then later JC Penney. The mall has went through many changes over the years with the upper lever being converted into offices. In its place was an arcade called pocket change park and later kahunaville which closed in 2007. Sears closed in January 2019 and in its place will be Boscovs. I hope you all enjoy the video .
