My sister invited me and my parents to join her in a Bible reading plan this year. The plan goes somewhat chronologically through the Bible. There are 5 readings per week, allowing for missed days or breaks. If you wish to join along, here's the reading plan: https://www.intoyourbible.org/read-through-the-bible. If anyone is active in chat, I'll respond to messages between chapters or sections of reading. At the end I'll share a short vlog report if anything new is going on. Bible text is from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB). The BSB was generously dedicated to the public domain in 2023 and can be quoted in any form without prior permission from the publisher. https://www.bereanbible.com. I'm not a well-educated Bible answer person. Here are some resources for those with deep question about the Christian faith: https://biblethinker.org Mike Winger, https://www.gotquestions.org. May the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ guide you into all truth. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Part two, final step in using CaptureOne to develop 360° photos from a hike earlier this week. Last stream I experimented with various ways to fix the color casts in the sky and discovered the only way I have available is to use CaptureOne. Affinity Photo’s masking tools suck in the version 1.x, and I can’t upgrade to the latest version right now. Since I’m well over halfway done, hopefully I can finish this image set today without streaming all night long. Nevermind, I streamed all night long. Took forever. All while listening to 16-bit music from SNES and Sega Genesis.

I'm burning man, not because I know what that festival is about - nope, I have no clue! I'm not hot, as in attractive - nope, I'm old, dumb and ugly. Rather, it's all about the weather. Where I'm at, it's predicted to reach almost 100°F today. Yikes, this man is burning! Sounds like a great day for a hike! I did say I'm dumb, after all. Hopefully my experiments in the previous stream pay off. At least I know a few things that almost for certain won't work, so I'll skip those options. I'll probably use the dual VDO.Ninja setup, as that seems to work best. However, I might also experiment with my 360 camera. Ironically, I meant to try that in the previous stream but forgot. So I guess I'll try it out on the field. Hopefully it's not a total F, but a W.

In today's episode I show the completed, large cabin journal. In spite of the panic during the cover gluing process in the previous episode the journal turned out great. Next I aligned the signatures of twelve sewn books and clamped them in book presses in preparation for gluing the spines.
This is a livestream bookbinding session from May 2, 2022 on Glimesh. Uploaded here for archival purposes.

Glimesh is a very small community currently, but I'm hoping it will eventually grow. It's a great open source platform with awesome, simple ideals.

A hike I went on back in February still has plenty of photos to work on. I’ll use Capture One to develop more raw photos. Hugin will be used when panoramas need to be stitched. If photos already processed look dumb now, I might quickly touch those up a second time. Wow, this should have been a beta testing session for Affinity Photo - and Hugin for that matter. Massive bugs uncovered! Anyhoo, I eventually gave up after a ton of crashes. I'll revisit it again another time.

Since Shanoa gave me so much trouble in my recent Spritenado stream, I decided to give her game a try. I first played Castlevania Order of Ecclesia long ago, and my old brain won't remember all the details and secrets. Metroidvanias are my favorite type of game, and I'm a completionist, so it will take many hours and livestreams to get all the way through. No speedrunning here.
