Monster Hunter Rise - Part 32 Apex Mizutsune Rampage (Multiplayer)
I'm trying to knock out the rampages so that I not only get Defender Tickets, but I also get the parts that I want/need to make different rampage weapons. In terms of LBG, I saw theory crafters making a Shrapnel RF LBG that specializes in dealing with threats that outnumber you. I am not promising to give this a try as there are already 3 very nice LBGs that fit different situations.
As for the rampage itself, it is a Mizutsune, so make sure to exploit the body size and shape. I hopped in with some randoms as they make these a little more tolerable (infinite carts FTW!). The monsters may become more durable, but there is a lot more room for mistakes here to make multiplayer much more tolerable. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcNHyXB9krQ
The main reason we came to Ymir was for the mission you see here. We get to re-tread the trails from Cold Steel 2, and then things hit a climax with a series of fights. When all is said and done, we have secured the optional objectives and get ready to take the mission to its conclusion in the next video.

After having spoken to everyone, we need to tackle the quests that they have. I left the battles in for the Maison Imelda quest since they are required, but otherwise the only other battle in this video is when we exterminate the quest monster. Of these quests, the only one with a secret objective is the Inspection mission where you just need to talk to the kid to get the missing piece of information and then actually use it. As for the doll, you can either play the casino games or just buy it outright.
At the end, we reach Mainz, where the chapter will reach its finale in the next video. Then even more of Crossbell opens up for exploration and dialogue.

This part features the first boss of the game, Del Lago, who is one of the more interesting ones. He has a little variation in his fight based on whether or not he goes for the flotsam repeatedly or not. Other than that, we have to make our way to the church where Ashley is being held only to find it locked, forcing us to cross Del Lago's lake. You can "fish" in his lake, but I would recommend doing it in the next chapter, AFTER the fight...

With Max in the roster, we now get to go up against Olaf and you can see the power difference between the two. Olaf is like Andy as in being a well rounded character. Max decimates characters like those and there is little they can do. By using the Blizzard, Olaf may get a turn's respite, but on the following turn, Max is back and even angrier than before.

I've been in the mood for strategy games recently, and I decided to return to Civ Beyond Earth to try to satisfy things. I opt to go to a little harder difficulty here to show why I hate playing on the higher difficulties usually, although with the exception of the African Union (and somewhat ARC), you don't get to see how bad things can really get. Keep in mind that on Apollo, it gets much worse, and I did not want these to stretch to ridiculous lengths, so Soyuz it is.
On this difficulty, the AI still starts with quite a few of the same benefits it would have on Apollo still, but the production numbers do not go insane. Part of the reason this game is fairly tame for the difficulty (abnormally so) is that three of the Civs stay in almost perpetual war with each other. Meanwhile, I only have the ARC breathing down my neck and have my sights on Al Falah since she is expanding into territory I want.
The name of the game is affinity rushing to get superior unit types, and from there we can crush the enemy's superior numbers. Judging from all the Firaxite on the ground around me when I land, this will be a Supremacy game, which is fine snice the last INTEGR game I did was Purity.

Getting access to the church, we are able to find our target and must escort her to safety. This segment isn't too bad for the escort as the enemies tend to avoid targeting her and the adaptive difficulty is not in full swing. Sadly, this respite will not last too long.
The segment comes to a close with the legendary cabin siege, which goes somewhat smoother than I anticipated. Since the enemies do not have health levels like they will at the end, the shotgun works miracles here with the flash grenade now and then to pop any Plagas that make an appearance.

The 11th part is pretty much all sidequests, so I just split it up into the individual fights. We start things off with Thunderbird, who I thought was much more dangerous than it actually is. This is one of the fights that is essentially a cake walk due to the level difference. The obvious thing to watch for will be electric attacks as it does live up to its name. Either bring Elec Block, Elec Dampeners, or demons that are innately resistant and the bird goes down fairly quickly.

With the cabin siege behind us, we take refuge in the Castle. The good news is that the Castle comes with some new weapons up for grabs, namely the Semi-Auto Rifle, which I quickly take. It will be a little while longer before the Striker becomes available, which will be my shotgun of choice. Then finally, there is a magnum to be acquired, but you are able to get it without paying for it...
The good news is that once we get to the end of this segment, we are free from our babysitting duty for a little while. The bad news is that we have to get through the infamous Water Room to get there.

Having attained level 25, the next step for me is to attempt the driller promotion to unlock more in-game content. This will be a series of 4 missions that should be easier than the previous video. Due to fatigue from trying to get that one to work, we wanted to kick back a bit, which is why we knocked the hazard down so significantly. This was essentially the final game of the weekend, so we wanted to take it easy. Driller promotion will continue next weekend barring catastrophe.
