Did you know that second-hand smoke kills far more people every year than polio killed in its worst year recorded in 1952? People still fear polio, but they don't worry about dying from cigarettes...even if the smoke! Tobacco kills over 400,000 people, but when you tell them tobacco kills they often say something like "you have to die from something." They would never say that about polio! Unvaccinated people are blamed for the supposed outbreaks, such as the measles outbreaks at Disney Land. Yet smokers never receive the same criticism even though they kill far more people. In fact, no one died from the measles outbreak at Disney. But that doesn't stop the media from pointing fingers at anti-vaxxers and using the story to justify stricter vaccine laws that led to California removing vaccine exemptions.
