A review of the Fedora-based, yet Ubuntu-inspired distribution known as Fuduntu 14.10. Lightweight performance, decent but mobile app selection, and very nice mobility and battery life controls. Definitely the recommendation for Fedora on a laptop.
Penny for your thoughts? (Just kidding. This is YouTube. I'd be broke).

==Do you want to see free and open-source software on Mac?==
If so, I've set up a donation box on my channel page for a Mac mini (http://bit.ly/MOO4KG). If 700 subscribers donate $1, I'll be able to look at apps for the Mac as well! Thanks for your support.
Overall, this respin of Fedora 17 provides the same great stable base as the Gnome version, but with a very nicely unified KDE 4.8.3 Software Compilation. Complete with all of the great KDE apps, the Calligra Suite also makes a stable debut. Faster login time as well as easier - but somewhat old school - package management, Fedora 17 KDE is looking like a very worth while release. Thanks for the feedback everybody!

A review of the KDE release candidate edition of Linux Mint 12. Overall a solid and user-friendly KDE distribution that provides a valuable alternative that would appeal to Windows users in its familiar look and feel. The system performs well and is ready to go out of the box with all the apps and codecs needed for everyday computing life. Definitely recommended for the new user.

==Having issues with subpixel font rendering in openSUSE 13.1? This might help==
Switching to openSUSE Part 1 | Software, Fonts, and Appearence
So this is my journey switching to using openSUSE 13.1 as my primary distribution. In this series, I'll try to share the highs and lows of tweaking out an openSUSE desktop as well as assessing its various merits along the way.
Part 1 looks at how I set up my new install with codecs, software repositories, font smoothing, and some Gnome extensions.

==Has Cinnamon finally achieved Gnome 2's level of functionality?==
I take a look at the Cinnamon release of Linux Mint 16 Petra. Overall, I'm very impressed with the work that the Mint and Cinnamon teams have done over the last six months. Cinnamon has matured nicely and makes more sense as a traditional and comprehensive desktop environment than it ever did before. Highly recommended.
