My sister invited me and my parents to join her in a Bible reading plan this year. The plan goes somewhat chronologically through the Bible. There are 5 readings per week, allowing for missed days or breaks. If you wish to join along, here's the reading plan: https://www.intoyourbible.org/read-through-the-bible. If anyone is active in chat, I'll respond to messages between chapters or sections of reading. At the end I'll share a short vlog report if anything new is going on. Bible text is from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB). The BSB was generously dedicated to the public domain in 2023 and can be quoted in any form without prior permission from the publisher. https://www.bereanbible.com. I'm not a well-educated Bible answer person. Here are some resources for those with deep question about the Christian faith: https://biblethinker.org Mike Winger, https://www.gotquestions.org. May the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ guide you into all truth. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Getting a late start as usual on a ride & hike. It's pretty hot outside, so I'll be a bit sluggish. If there is a cell signal where I'm going I'll stream something there. Today marks my first stream on Arena.tv. I literally learned of it minutes before heading out and hastily set it up for restream, no idea if it'll work. Maybe I'll just sit and write if no one joins me. The last two passages on my mind have been Jeremiah 17 and the book of Titus. No reason in particular. Maybe random, maybe something the Spirit wants to say to those who have ears. Hopefully I'm listening. Speaking of listening, featuring retro video game music from the 16-bit era.
Turned out being a massive botch/scuff/fail/experiment stream. Audio wasn't working at all for the longest time. So I made it a chance to play around with various setups. I think I should go back to using my second phone as the audio source. My wrist strap broke. My wireless mic isn't working. Nothing works. Story of my life.

My first desktop livestream after finally getting internet. I'll be working on developing some 360 photos and videos I took while on a hike and snowshoe adventure in the snowy mountains. I spent a long time messing with OBS Studio since I haven't streamed in so long. Annoyingly, I rely heavily on StreamFX plugin, and new versions have been made unavailable to the general public. So I had to install an older version of OBS and all the plugins to get everything working how it was before. ? This is my first multi-stream on both Odysee and Kick. I learned about Kick a few days ago from a friend and want to give it a try. I still want to stream to Odysee so my replays get archived. It might take me a while to get back in the streaming groove, but I want to do it more often now that I have internet. It'll be a while before I get my webcam, lights, and green screen set up. They are still in a storage bin right now.

Continuing to develop and stitch photos from my hike on Anns Butte. Wow, only got one panorama done last stream! I shouldn't hope for much more this time around. It's not quite as late at night this time, so I should be slightly more lively. My standard level of excitement is a cross between Spock, Bob Ross and Ben Stein. The ratio of influence each of those three components provides varies approximately 12% up or down. I thought my sister would be here today, or I would be driving to see her, but it turns out that will happen in a day or two. So I have time for at least one or two more streams before being too busy for it again. I might have to suddenly end my stream if someone drops by to look at stuff I have for sale. As usual, I’ll use CaptureOne to develop raw photos, Hugin to stitch panoramas, and any further editing in Affinity Photo.

The recently fabricated narrow bamboo board book presses are in need of a hanging rack, since they are not self-standing (yet). I have some PVC pipes laying around that I used years ago for paper marbling. Since the rack is a more "pressing need," I'll repurpose the pipes and make a rack. If that construction process goes quickly enough, I'll start gluing the spines of the some of the books I aligned and pressed from the previous stream.

Yesterday I went on a hike at an amazing butte. I brought gear to livestream from there. Everything possible went wrong, so I gave up and just enjoyed the hike. Because I fiddled with streaming gear so much at the beginning I didn’t have time to explore as much of the butte as I wanted. Originally I was going to visit multiple buttes if possible. This one place is so interesting, that I could easily spend all day there. Today I’ll be working on processing 360° photos I took. In anticipation of this IRL stream I decided to sign up with Restream for a month to play around, so I’ll be streaming on a few extra platforms just for fun – Kick, Odysee, DLive and Trovo. I will primarily watch chat on kick.com/PhLoMix if you want to join me there.

I juggle a soccer ball for exercise. It is good for balance, coordination and fitness. For music I listen to retro video game music from the 16-bit era.
Lately I have been pretty unproductive in life, in a bit of a lull. I'll try to get back into livestreaming for an activity that produces at least some kind of creative or contemplative output. Can't promise how long or regular it will be though because some big life changes are coming soon too. I'll start off this latest string of streams with a laid-back writing session. My goal to make Bible transcription a regular thing hasn't panned out too well. I recently succumbed to the temptation to buy the latest cool pens from jetpens, so I'll use those today. They are Zebra Sarasa Nano Gel Pens. They come in a great variety of unique colors and are very fine lined at 0.3 mm. No, I'm not sponsored by anyone. I just like pens and writing by hand. I'm experimenting with a new camera setup, offering a new angle. No reason. I didn't feel like setting up my face cam today, not that anyone needs to see that anyway. I might talk a little about sand and rocks at the beginning... or I might not. LNEM just stands for Late Night, Early Morning - my most common streaming schedule.
