As cars accumulated blocked by the traffic-blocking "Declare Emergency" trio, they switched positions to allow the woman who said her son is the hospital to go forward while continuing to block traffic.
They demand Joe Biden demand climate change a national emergency.
A U.S. Park Police officer arrived and initially tried to dialogue with the climate activists blocking traffic.
"You don't think there's a better way to go about it than obstructing traffic on the GW Parkway?" he asked, encouraging them to step aside, which they didn't do.
"Just cuff 'em!" When additional police arrived, they immediately moved in to arrest the climate activists, not offering formal warnings. Activist Donald Zepeda went limp as a second person was arrested as well.
When climate activist Donald Zepeda continued to stay limp where he was arrested for blocking traffic, nearby construction workers helped police to carry him off the road.
