Troop Leading Procedures (TLPs) lay the foundation for all Military Leadership. In this video, we'll discuss the Army and Marine Corps TLP's and how you can use them to work through any mission.
The Army's TLPs are: Receive the Mission, Issue the warning order, make a tentative plan, Initiate Movement, conduct recon, complete the plan, issue the plan, and supervise and refine. The Marine Corps TLPs are Begin the planning, Arrange Recon, Make Recon, Complete the Plan, Issue the Order, Supervise and Refine. Though worded differently, they both work through the same principles and fundamentals to enable success.
Not just for the military, TLP's can assist you with all planning requirements - from scouting an area, planning a hike or a hunt, working with others to prepare for natural disasters, SHTF scenarios, EOTW disasters, or just planning a vacation.
