Foreword to the 56 Aphorisms on Consciousness-without-an-object by Franklin Merrell-Wolff (1887-1985); These aphorisms belong to a level of consciousness where thought and music unite. They are seeds which may develop into a comprehensive system of philosophy while, at the same time, they are a substance bringing sustenance to the soul. It is not necessary the reader should understand them. She/he should use them as focal points for meditation and permit their meaning to develop in her/his consciousness as a plant grows from seed. They are symbols first and concept afterward. As concept they illumine the way for understanding. As symbols they open the door to the realization of that Reality which cannot be felt or thought."
The 56 Aphorisms are presented here with for this purpose, specially composed symphonic music.
This is an experiment expressing through musical notes from three different classical instruments,( violin, baritone oboe, and baritone bassoon), the digital numbers from the transcendental numbers of pi and e , as well as from a so called hash function SHA256.
Hash Functions are so called one-way functions meaning that you can go from input to output but if you only have the output there is no way for you to figure out the input.
Also, hash functions produce unique output for each input - which is a very important property of hash functions.
Thus we sometimes say that hash functions produce a digital fingerprint for the data you give as input.
In this case I have used as an input the word "bitcoin", generating a hash, consisting of a string of numbers(0-9) and the six first syllables(a-f) from the alphabet. Each syllable are also given a number, a= 6(6th scale tone), b=7(7th scale tone),c=1(first tone),d=2, e=3, f=4). Notes from the musical scale are given a number,(1=C, 2=D......up to 7=B, then, 8=Db(by my own choice), and 9=Eb). Each number will also have a time duration value. For example, 1= one ( unit(one beat), 2= two beats.... and 9= nine beats. The "0", (zero), will be a stop, a rest, and a relax of the sound flow. Here in the resting, relaxed space of the recurrent zero I have in the notation suggested some citations of poetry by the Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore.Tagore was a so called "polymath(in Greek means "having learned much", in latin "universal man", which is a person whose expertise spans a significant number of subject areas, known to draw on complex bodies of knowledge to solve specific problems.Leonardo da Vinci was a polymath of the Renaissance era..
(some quotes by Tagore)
"Music fills the infinite
between two souls."
"What is Art?
It is the response
of man`s creative soul
to the call of the Real."
This an experiment, expressing mysterious realms of consciousness through musical notes from three different classical instruments,( violin, baritone oboe, and baritone bassoon). I am using digits from the transcendental numbers of pi (3,14.....)and e(2,78.....) , and hash function SHA256.

In this way I have imposed a certain structure and limitation from which I proceed
with the arranging and composing .
