NOAA 9 Satellite Pass - 0843 UTC 7-3-2020 (FN20gf)
LOUD NOISE WARNING!!! In this video I show the simulated replay of a NOAA 9 pass I recorded at 0843 UTC on 7-3-2020. The satellite's spin doppler and intermittent operation can be observed in the frequency domain, and the audio from the video should allow for a time domain analysis to be done client side as well. The antenna used was my 3 element 137MHz cross yagi, and the SDR used was an Airspy R2. No additional amplifiers/filters were required. According to heavens above, the satellite enters the Earth's shadow at around 0854 UTC, despite that it crosses the earth-side solar terminator before then.
In this video I demonstrate my RTL-SDR based TPMS for my 2022 Mazda CX-5 using Python and RTL-433 (a FOSS C project).

LOUD NOISE WARNING! This video's audio may be decoded into most of the image received. In this video I use Black Cat HF Weather Fax software to decode an weather facsimile chart. The setup is a 100' doublet antenna fed with ladder line and a 1:1 current balun which heads into an antenna tuner on RG8x coax. This RF signal then passes through the Icom-7300's internal filters and out the PTRX-7300 panadapter output. Audio demodulation is performed by using an Airspy HF+ SDR and raspberry pi 4 to stream IQ SDR Sharp on a windows PC.

Found this sitting on my hard drive; figured I'd immortalize it here. I used this to avoid having to focus on the written aspects of my 1920s project in AP English Literature Composition (APELC), my Junior year of highschool.
To the cultured out there, I apologize for the bastardized ending. I couldn't play the actual one at the time.

This video is a raw screen recording of the process of constructing a composite image from the NOAA 15 and NOAA 18 satellites using WXtoImg. In each recording you can see the satellites switch between day and night mode as they cross the solar terminator. I have left this at original speed so as to leave the audio intact. This means that the viewer should be able to create the images from the video audio if desired. The antenna used is my cross yagi for 137MHz, and the radio used is an AirspyR2. No additional LNA was required.
The first pass is mid to low (22 deg) and to the west, which gets good reception when line of sight is available, and the noise comes from some evergreen trees and a house blocking my LOS to the NW and S. The second pass is reasonably higher (38 deg) and only really experiences one line of noise in the middle when i had to move my station and antenna to get around my house, but the pass was only at 38 deg, so i couldn't maintain LOS. Trees to the South cause the usual problems with signal reception below 10 deg S, and hills obstruct most things below 6 deg to the North.
