It's pretty basic: You could on the way there; you could be there; or you could be "just not there". Of course, there is no "there" there. Let's talk about this. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMmQM2rLi7o

Let's take our energy work up a notch. What if energy work were not a scheduled activity, but the typical stance you took throughout your day ~ everyday? Instead of living life with short breaks for meditation, daydream all the time, with little to no breaks for anything else.
Think we can do that? I do.
Artists in particular should have no trouble daydreaming. But if you're anything like me, then you were probably conditioned from a young age to "knock it off" and "pay attention"!! Who gave the adults of our childhood the right the pull our attention away from our Source, our dreams, our happiness?
It's time to reclaim our sovereignty.
Let's make daydreaming not only a habit, but our goal for each day of life. Spend as much time as possible living in the fullest, most exciting version of life you can imagine. Turns out, that's the only way we are gonna make it happen for real.

Today I'd like to talk about one the world's most renowned and beloved dancers, Mikhail Baryshnikov. Whether you like ballet or not, there is much we can all learn from his dedication to his craft. We sometimes feel like the world is against us, but it literally was hard set against Baryshnikov dancing at all, let alone becoming the legend we know him as today.

Here's a man who had a singular focus in life to pursue his art, regardless of the obstacles in his path. Even when the biggest obstacle was the Soviet Union and the Communist government. He defected to Canada, blended ballet and contemporary dance to suit his style and abilities, and transcended norms to introduce dance to other pop culture entertainment venues like film and television.

If I were going on a camping trip, I would pack a bag. Makes sense, right? I'd take some clothes with me instead of trying to find clothes under rocks or in trees. Well, what if, as I decided to embark on this Quantum Odyssey we call life, I decided to pack a bag to bring everything I would need? I'd put that stuff in the Vortex or my quantum field where I could grab whatever I needed whenever I needed it. Sounds like something I would do cuz I'm smart.
Unfortunately, I'm also clever and stubborn, so sometimes I decide to forego what I packed and try to find clothes under rocks or in the trees. It hasn't gone very well.

This group has changed me. My life has been a series of attempts at radical creativity within the confines of my own mind. When one attempt "failed", I would move onto another. Unable to see beyond the borders I myself had imposed, I remained baffled by my own seeming inability to achieve that which I set out to do.
Until I saw your art.
One piece after another created beyond my barriers, beyond my comfort zone. Dare I say, beyond my imagination? But how the F@#$ is that even possible when my imagination is limitless (#withintheboundariessetinstonebyme)?
This has stretched my thinking, and my dreaming. Maybe the impossible is not. Maybe the abstract which I have avoided is exactly where I need to go. Let's find out.

Art is a metaphor for humanity.
A pure expression of emotion in physical form.
A communication of the spirit, untinged by motivation.
Art is the dream of the human soul made manifest.

We live in a fast-paced world of 24 hour news, scrolling feeds, and bland, consumable content. Most of our human touchpoints are transactional, meant to persuade one or another to a desired result, and then move on.
Our news and entertainment is fixated on quick consumption. Our minds and hearts have been tailored to this model, so we move our attention from one stressor to the next, with little or no time to think, or come to our own conclusions. Opinions are provided for us, force fed through a fire hose of news, compounded by social media.
The longer we subject ourselves to this cycle, the more we separate ourselves from our humanity.
But the divisions we create are not natural. We certainly didn't evolve this way. As a species, we require deeper connections, meaningful interactions, and lasting relationships. We yearn for unity, while celebrating diversity.
We fixate on differences as if they were defects. But they’re not. They’re features built into this game. Features that we would celebrate and encourage, given the chance.
Art provides that chance. Art is a universal language that every human soul can feel, regardless of geography, or ideology. It’s a communication, not from the brain, but from the heart.
I’m Bobby Donohue. And I’m on a mission to inspire humanity through art.
Not merely the ability to draw, or sing, or dance.
Not merely the canvas, the movement, or the statue.
But rather the feeling.
The flow of energy that swells the heart and makes you pause in awe.
The awareness that you are in the presence of something special.
That you are something special.
All human beings have this ability, and know this language.
It’s our innate gift. We’ve just been too busy to use it.

Let's start from the very beginning of this Quantassey (quantum odyssey). My own personal journey has gotten pretty intense over the last few weeks, culminating in me getting right down to the root cause of my frustration ~ a fear of success.
This prism image caught my attention today because I feel like it's time to focus my energy on my core genius. These are words I've used before, but I never truly defined what my core genius was. So I was never as focused on it as I can be now. I always diluted it to fit some narrative that was easier to explain or sell.
Of course, from every new vantage we are greeted with all new contrasts and choices. It would be very easy to fall back into the familiar at this point and find some roundabout path that felt like it was moving me forward but was actually steering me back into my old comfort zone. I'm not about to do that.

Moving beyond our comfort zone and into the life we really desire requires us to show up and do the spiritual work every day, again and again and again. Unfortunately, our big vision lies in the unknown, and we have a habit of living in the known.

Today I recognized one of the "triggers" that usually entices me to give up on my goal, and revert back to the comfort of the known. I was able to observe it happening in real time, and make the decision to stay on the path into the unknown. It was not easy by any means.
Making change, and bringing your art into the world requires a consistency of effort. It's not enough to have a good day followed by several that are mediocre at best. The feelings of excitement and gratitude for the new life you are creating won't be enough to overcome the momentum of your past habits if you don't reach for them again. And again. And again. Until they are second nature.

In my recent group poll, several members indicated that your inner critic was a big frustration for you. Let's tackle that PITA right now, shall we?
We all suffer from some form of this insidious, backstabbing know-it-all. We can learn to use it as a check to keep ourselves on track. But more often than not, it can feel paralyzing.

I've been learning some things about myself here, including how I have made a habit of crossing those wires. I've always felt I needed to be in control, so I continually micro-managed the work of the Universe on the canvas that is my life.
Turns out the Universe is a much better painter than I am. And sculptor. And certainly dancer ?
We tend to try to control the uncontrollable, instead of surrendering to the Universe and letting everything work out for us. I always saw the phrases "surrender" or "give up" as admissions of failure, and was too nervous to relinquish control of anything.
I'm giving up that bad habit.
