Monday’s are hard, pretty sure we all need a little “Jenny-in-her-swing” today. (Amy photobombs at the end!) If you have a second, please wish Susan a happy birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUSAN. Thank you for ALL you do for these animals. The whole forest is grateful to you.

When Susan first sent me this video, I watched it with a smile. It was so cute - and the bears are always so adorable. Then I got to thinking what a great life they have here. They can't be free in the wild, that's true, but they actually get things here they couldnt have there. So if they cant be wild, this sure is a great alternative.
In the wild bears live a solitary life. Except for mating, or cub raising, bears are alone. The competition for mates, territory, and food dont allow them safe interactions with other bears, or leisure time, or the ability to just play carefree with another bear, as they did when they were young cubs. But here, even though they are in their late teens, they have the ability to do all of that. Play like this, sleep cuddled up in a huge heap-o-bear, or have alone-time if they want it.
I'm proud to work with Susan and Jim and the Orphaned Wildlide Center, and videos like this make me smile and truly realize how much they have done for the lives of these bears. Because no one could possibly dispute that these are very happy bears. So if you can't be wild and free, then perhaps this is truly the next best thing.
The Covid-19 crisis has caused us to lose many of our monthly sponsors. We thank every single one of you for all the months you helped support all the animals here, and we recognize that this is an extremely difficult, complicated, and uncertain financial time for everyone. So first - THANK YOU for the help you have given us for however long you were able. And if anyone out there is still ok and would like to help us going forward, our biggest need is always monthly sponsors. Monthly income we can count on no matter what expense, or emergency, or need crops up. You can sign up from our website at Http://www.orphanedwildlife.org/donate. If you can't, we get it, but perhaps you could help spread the word by sharing this post, or our page in general, or any of our videos. Thank you all for the love!

I made this video a few years ago of the outside of our sanctuary, and recently came across it. Thought I would share it again. Some things have changed of course, but this is the outside areas for our deer, small animals etc.

Randy is certainly giving Leo a run for “MOST ADORABLE BEAR IN THE POND” award for this year! And is it just me, or did it look like he was about to fall asleep sitting up?
