After confronting Captain Stenvar of the Conning Creek town guard, Osvald receives his next destination: the city of Montwise, home to Solistia's most prestigious library and practically a scholar's heaven. There he finds Professor Harvey's secret underground laboratory where he has conducted torturous experiments on monsters with what he believes to be the source of the one true magic: the blood of the Lumina family of which Rita and Elena are a part! Turns out the corpses at the scene of the fire at Osvald's home were not that of his wife and daughter, and Harvey had instead abducted them for research! In his experiments, Harvey had turned Rita into a rock monster known as the Grieving Golem, and Osvald must put her down as his boss fight for this chapter.
