Dangerous Dave is a 1988 computer game by John Romero. The object of the game is to collect gold cups to move on to the next level. This is much, much harder than it sounds.
Escape from Tarkov is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game in development by Battlestate Games for Windows. A closed alpha test of the game was first made available to select users on August 4, 2016, followed by a closed beta which has been running since July 2017. The game is set in the fictional Norvinsk region in Northwest Russia, where a war is taking place between two private military companies (United Security "USEC" and the Battle Encounter Assault Regiment "BEAR"). Players join matches in which they fight other players for loot and aim to survive and escape - dying results in the loss of almost all items the player used and found during that game.
The developers of Escape from Tarkov refer to the game as a realistic and hardcore first-person shooter role-playing video game that borrows elements from massively multiplayer online games. In its current state, Escape from Tarkov incorporates several modes for the players to play: online PMC raids, scav (short for "scavenger") raids, and a temporary offline mode. In these raids, players can choose to play solo or in groups and spawn on one side of a variety of maps to choose from in the game. Once in-game, the players are given an extraction point on the other side of the map, and must fight against other players and non-player characters to reach that point in order to escape. In addition to these standard extractions, players are also given the opportunity to use “optional” extraction points near the middle of the map, but in order to do so must meet various requirements per extract such as paying roubles (the primary in-game currency), not having a backpack, or having certain items equipped on their character. In addition to combat, players can also find loot in these maps such as firearms, equipment, and armor, and once extracted, can store their loot in a stash to use in future raids or can be sold to other players in a virtual flea market. When players die in a raid, they lose everything, including loot and the equipment they brought into the raid.

Anvil of Dawn is a 1995 fantasy role-playing video game developed by DreamForge Intertainment and published by New World Computing. Anvil of Dawn won positive reviews and was named the best role-playing game of 1995 by Computer Gaming World and Computer Game Review.
Anvil of Dawn presents a real-time, three-dimensional view from the character's perspective. It was released on CD and features fully spoken dialogue and several pre-rendered cutscenes. The player controls only one character throughout the game, which is chosen at the beginning from 5 different heroes.[2] The other characters can then be met in the game also trying to fulfill the quest. The game is mostly action oriented but also contains some puzzles. There are no experience points as the character gets better through using his abilities and spells. It also features several different endings.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a 2015 action role-playing game developed and published by Polish developer CD Projekt Red and is based on The Witcher series of fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. It is the sequel to the 2011 game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and the third main installment in the The Witcher's video game series, played in an open world with a third-person perspective.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt takes place in a fictional fantasy world based on Slavonic mythology. Players control protagonist Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer for hire known as a Witcher who is looking for his missing adopted daughter on the run from the Wild Hunt, an otherworldly force determined to capture her. Players battle the game's many dangers with weapons and magic, interact with non-player characters, and complete quests to acquire experience points and gold, which are used to increase Geralt's abilities and purchase equipment. Its central story has several endings, determined by the player's choices at certain points in the game.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an action role-playing game with a third-person perspective. Players control Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer known as a Witcher. Players occasionally control Ciri, Geralt's adoptive daughter who can teleport short distances. The game is set in the Continent, a fantasy world surrounded by parallel dimensions and extra-dimensional worlds. Humans, elves, dwarves, monsters and other creatures co-exist on the Continent, but non-humans are often persecuted for their differences. The Continent is caught up in a war between the empire of Nilfgaard — led by Emperor Emhyr var Emreis , who invaded the Northern Kingdoms — and Redania, ruled by King Radovid V. Several locations appear, including the free city of Novigrad, the Redanian city of Oxenfurt, the no man's land of Velen, the city of Vizima (former capital of the recently conquered Temeria), the Skellige islands (home to several Norse-Gaels Viking clans) and the witcher stronghold of Kaer Morhen.

Curse of the Azure Bonds is a role-playing video game developed and published by Strategic Simulations, Inc (SSI) in 1989. It is the second in a four-part series of Forgotten Realms Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Gold Box adventure computer games, continuing the events after the first part, Pool of Radiance.
Curse of the Azure Bonds takes place in the Forgotten Realms setting. The adventure begins in the city of Tilverton, a relatively small town that nonetheless contains all the essential shops and services to equip the party. Although the characters begin the game with no equipment, each character does receive money at the start of the game with which to buy weapons and armor. Outside the city of Tilverton, the characters may explore caverns, sewers, and outside in the wilds. Other locations include the Elven Forest, Zhentil Keep, the temple at Yulash, and the citadel at Hap, though these locations cannot be freely explored by the party. Instead, the player can use a menu to select places within the locations to visit. Yulash is under siege by marauders, and characters entering the town are also in danger from crumbling walls and sinkholes.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is an isometric role-playing game developed by Owlcat Games and published by META Publishing, based on Paizo Publishing's Pathfinder franchise. The game was released on September 2nd, 2021.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a sequel to Pathfinder: Kingmaker, the previous role-playing game of the same developer, but it does not follow the same story. The sequel builds on the engine from Kingmaker to address concerns raised by critics and players, and expands additional rulesets from the tabletop game, includes new character classes and the mythic progression system.
In Wrath of the Righteous the country of Mendev has been fighting a series of wars against the Worldwound, a magical portal that allows demons to travel from their home in the Abyss to the mortal world. These wars, called crusades, have been slowly losing ground, primarily because demons killed in the mortal world return to life in the Abyss.
The player of Wrath of the Righteous controls a citizen of the city of Kenabres, on Mendev's outskirts. After surviving a demonic invasion of the city, the player-character discovers that they have strange magical "mythic powers" from an unknown source. After driving the demons out of Kenabres, the player-character is appointed Commander of the Fifth Crusade by Queen Galfrey of Mendev and takes the role of deploying armies against demonic forces of the Worldwound while also trying to figure out how to close the unholy portal.

Wizardry VII: Crusaders of the Dark Savant is the seventh title in the Wizardry series of role-playing video games by Sir-Tech Software, Inc.. It is also the second entry in the 'Dark Savant' trilogy. The game was published in 1992 by Sir-Tech, originally developed for DOS.
Crusaders of the Darvant is set in a science fiction/fantasy universe, featuring interplanetary space travel and cybernetic androids, alongside high fantasy arms, armor and magic. The story picks up where its predecessor left off. The recovery and subsequent theft of the magical artifact known as the Cosmic Forge in Wizardry VI: Bane of the Cosmic Forge has revealed the planet Guardia, the hiding place of another power artifact, the Astral Dominae. Multiple factions have converged on Guardia attempting to locate this artifact, including a party of adventurers controlled by the player, and the principal adversary, the eponymous Dark Savant.
Crusaders of the Dark Savant is played from a first person perspective, with the party's character portraits visible alongside what they see in the game world, and movement is tile-based, and the player can only turn in 90° increments. The game supported contemporary VGA displays and a variety of sound cards for effects, and synthesized background music.
This run is is playing with MadGod's Cosmic Forge (https://mad-god.webs.com/cosmicforge.htm) with all bugfix patches have been applied. I'm also using the Wizardry 7 Automap Mod (https://www.moddb.com/mods/wizardry-7-automap-mod). Other Cosmic Forge modifications used are the Items' Special Power enhancement alongside the Personal Skills Unlock, Weapon Equip, Attacks per Round, Swings per Attack, Rogue Talents, Weapon Effects, Resting, and Resting Mana Recovery modifications.

La-Mulana (stylized as La•Mʊlana) is a platform-adventure video game, designed to imitate the look and feel of MSX games. Released on June 27, 2006, in Japan for Microsoft Windows, the game was only available in Japanese, but an English translation patch has been produced by Ian Kelley of AGTP. The game was later remade from the ground up in a 16-bit style for the Wii, and later PC, Mac, Linux and PlayStation Vita.
Lemeza Kosugi, a professor of archaeology, receives a letter from his father Shorn Kosugi, who claims he has discovered the ruins of La-Mulana, supposedly the birthplace of all civilizations and carries the secret treasure of life itself. Following his father's trail, Lemeza comes to the ruins and discovers it is composed of various amalgamations of various ruins and structures from different areas around the globe. Upon further exploration and discovery within the ruins, Lemeza learns the story about how a being known as "the Mother" fell down from the sky and crashed onto the planet. The Mother has sought to return to space where it came from. To this end, she created various "children" which were different races that roamed the planet that she tasked to find a way to send her back to the sky. None of them could figure out a way to accomplish this task, which angered the Mother greatly and would destroy them in her rage, to start over again with a new race.
The protagonist of the game is Lemeza, a whip wielding adventurer exploring the tomb within La-Mulana. Although there is only one ending in the game there are many ways to get there, in that completing objectives in the game (gaining power ups and reaching new areas) is not linear, nor is there an obvious recommended path to take. Many powerups will allow the player to reach new areas, but the game gives no indication of where to go.
