How to take shahada, here is how you take it..........
The Declaration of Faith (Shahada)
Shahada is the first of five pillars in Islam.
To convert to Islam and become a Muslim, all you need to do is say the below testimony with conviction and understanding of its meaning:
"Ash hadoo an La ilaha illa Allah, Wa Ash hadoo ana Muhammadan rasoolu Allah."
The translation of which is:
"I bear witness that there is no true god except God (Allah), and I bear witness that Muhammad is the (Final) Messenger of God."
As soon as you pronounce the above testimony with conviction, you have become a Muslim! You can do it alone, or you can do it with an adviser, ie another Muslim so they can help you.

And then finally, إِن كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ And I'll end with that. Inshallah, I'll give you a break. If in fact you're telling the truth, the word truth, I want you to understand something about it. Sidq. means truth. But actually, you know a spear, right? The long, throw, kill thingy? If the middle of the spear is weak, then it can be easily broken. But when the middle of the spear is thick and unbreakable, that kind of spear is actually called روح صدق. An unbreakable, strong spear. A man who cannot be beaten on the battlefield, unbreakable man is رجل صدق. An assault, an attack on the enemy which could not be defended against is called حملة صادقة. From it you get the strongest kind of friend who doesn't break the bonds of friendship. The most true kind of friend. When things are tough, they're your friend. When things are easy, they're your friend. They're not an opportunist friend. That kind of friend is a صديق. from the same word صديق. صدق, truth, actually means something strong that doesn't break. The idea of truth in Arabic is actually strength. And you might not know this, but كذب, which is lie, actually comes from an animal that when it walks, it stops and it looks back to see if something's coming for it. Then it walks and it يتردد في المشي. It hesitates in its movement and it's actually weak. It's weak and the opposite of strong. And it's also interesting that كذب has to do with defense and صدق has to do with offense.

When something happens in your life that is a big problem according to the world, major disaster according to the world, how do you know whether it is a test or a punishment? Some people get a lot of money, they get a good job, they have a lovely family, they forget Allah. That's a punishment. Why? It was something that looked positive but it drove you away from Allah. It took you to the clubs and it took you to bad habits. If that's the case, it was a punishment. It's not a blessing. Something looking good was not a blessing because it drove you away from Allah. Quite simple. If something negative happens to you, seek the forgiveness of Allah. And the condition of your heart will determine whether it was a punishment or not. If your heart is made distant from Allah because of something that happened to you, that is a punishment. And if your heart became closer to Allah as a result of something that happened to you, it was the biggest blessing.
