Robert G. Wright Jr. is an FBI agent who has criticized the FBI's counterterrorist activities in the 1990s, when he worked in the Chicago division on terrorists with links to the Middle East, especially on the issue of money laundering. Specifically, he worked on project Vulgar Betrayal, the single largest counter-intelligence operation pre 9/11, which allegedly implicated Yasin al-Qadi. Qadi is multi-millionaire from Jeddah and trained as an architect in Chicago, Illinois. He is also said to have personally met with Osama Bin Laden in Chicago in 1979 and was said to have links with Hamas. The program also investigated the The Holy Land Foundation charity which was secretly financing Hamas suicide bombings. He later wrote a detailed book which the FBI prevented him from publishing with threats of criminal prosecution. On February 23rd 1998, Osama Bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri, Abu Yasir Rifai Taha and 2 others, organized a group called the World Islamic Front, would submit a fatwa against the United States and Israel. Bin Laden would then hold interviews, one notable with John Miller of ABC News, where he Bin Laden openly declared war against the Crusaders and Jews and was adamant about a terrorist attack which would happen soon if the American military does not leave Saudi Arabia and it's continued war against Muslims worldwide.

John Kiriakou is a former CIA officer, former senior investigator for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and former counterterrorism consultant for ABC News. He was responsible for the capture in Pakistan in 2002 of Abu Zubaydah, then believed to be the third-ranking official in al-Qaeda. In 2007, Kiriakou blew the whistle on the CIA’s torture program, telling ABC News that the CIA tortured prisoners, that torture was official U.S. government policy, and that the policy had been approved by then-President George W. Bush. He became the sixth whistleblower indicted by the Obama administration under the Espionage Act. In 2012, Kiriakou was honored with the Joe A. He won the PEN Center USA’s prestigious First Amendment Award in 2015 and is the author of The Reluctant Spy: My Secret Life in the CIA’s War on Terror. While also authoring other books such as "The Convenient Terrorist: Two Whistleblowers' Stories of Torture, Terror, Secret Wars, and CIA Lies" "Surveillance and Surveillance Detection: A CIA Insider's Guide" and "Doing Time Like a Spy: How the CIA Taught Me to Survive and Thrive in Prison". Kiriakou spoke about how his college professor, Jerrold Post, was actually a CIA case officer and recruited him into the agency. How Kiriakou became involved with the CIA's arab fundamentalist squad, his time at the Bin Laden Issue Station, the raid and capture of Abu Zubaydah, his whistleblowing of CIA's torture program and his subsequent arrest and release.

Latest news; Afghanistan: In an open letter on Wednesday, Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi said the biggest challenge facing Afghanistan was financial insecurity and has called on members of the United States Congress to act to release Afghan assets frozen after their August takeover of the country. Taliban forces held a military parade in Kabul on Sunday using captured American-made armored vehicles and Russian helicopters in a display that showed their ongoing transformation from an insurgent force to a regular standing army. Earlier this week, Taliban's foreign minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, said that Afghanistan no longer needs a large military and would not keep all the soldiers who worked in the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) under the Ashraf Ghani-led government.
