Active Imagination is a technique developed by the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung for engaging with the unconscious mind. Jung considered Active Imagination to be the most powerful way to access the unconscious mind and a vital technique for attaining wholeness of personality.
The unconscious mind is a vast and complex realm that contains our deepest stored emotions, thoughts, and memories, that are hidden and inaccessible to our daily consciousness. Exploring this inner world can provide valuable insights into our psyche, allowing us to connect with our authentic selves and uncover hidden aspects of our personality.
In this exercise, we will use active imagination to journey into the depths of the unconscious mind, allowing our imagination to reveal insights and understanding about ourselves that may be difficult to access through rational thought alone.
Remember that whatever you experience during this exercise is a reflection of your own mind and inner wisdom.
After completing the exercise, reflect on your experience and the insights you gained. How was your experience of Journey into the Depths? What insights did you come to?

The Animus is the archetype of the masculine principles that exists in every human being. It represents our model of man and is based in both our personal and collective human experience.
The Animus is more unconscious in women by default, however every human being has an Animus, relates to Animus and has an archetype and a concept for what man and masculine are. So everyone can benefit from doing this exercise but for men you might wish to emphasise working with the Anima, the archetypal feminine.
The Animus serves as a conduit to masculine qualities such as will, reason, assertiveness, creative spirit, and this exercise is intended to help you deepen a relationship with these qualities and the archetype of the Animus more generally.

The Seven of Swords challenges us to confront the aspects of evasion, strategy, and even deceit within ourselves and in our dealings with the world. It invites us to consider the value of novelty and idiosyncrasy, as well as the consequences of acting on half-truths or engaging in avoidance. This card reflects on the need for individuality and the courage to stand apart, but it also warns against the isolation that can come from too much secrecy or a reluctance to seek help. Through this exercise, we will explore the delicate balance between self-reliance and openness, seeking originality in our choices and actions.
The Seven of Swords is associated with the Third decan of Aquarius. Hence this exercise goes live on the 9th February.
