Kasondra Watkins was in the courtroom of President Trump's New York trial and shared her endearing thoughts with all of us on Instagram.
It's May 3rd, 2024 and this has been a very big day. I was inside the courtroom for the second half of the day for President Trump's trial here in New York City. I heard the very end of the prosecution's examination as Hope Hicks, and I heard President Trump's defense cross examination. As soon as the cross-examination started, Hope Hicks started crying. They had to take a break.
During the break, there were, I was with the reporters and there was discussions on why, they believe, that she was crying. One of the reporters said that it would be debated for decades why that happened. And the answer is we don't know. But what I can say for sure about everything that is taking place is President Trump is right on in calling it a show trial.
I have never seen antics like what I'm witnessing in that courtroom. It's a humiliation ritual. It's so sad, what they are doing to him, and to his family, and to the American people. This is, they've weaponized the judicial system. Every system has been weaponized against anybody who would dare to stand up against the system and do something different.
They want to bully and shame people into submission. But what I know is through all of this, when we walk through fiery trials and processes, if we remain faithful and stay the course, we can allow the Lord, through that, to fortify us.
In the courtroom every single day. I have been praying for President Trump and for the whole process, everything that's happening. I have been praying for President Trump since 2015, consistently. But to be in the courtroom, to have the privilege of looking at him on last Friday a week ago, I was able to smile at him and mouth thank you, and when I did, he smiled and winked at me as he was walking out of the courtroom. That was very cool. It's good for him to know that he has friends in the room. And today, after court, we were outside and I had the ability to smile and wave. I had a Maga hat on and he saw me and pointed.
But with that whole humiliation thing, I had a situation that happened today, where, have you ever been, and I want to share this because I believe it may encourage somebody, have you ever been in a situation where you've been in a wilderness and you are given an opportunity, and you know that it's an important one, and you're like I don't want to mess this up. I want to knock this completely out of the park. And then you're given that opportunity and you fall flat on your face. You mess up on something that is so simple. You should not mess up on. And it feels like, almost like the rug was attempted to be pulled out from underneath your feet. That happened to me today. Talk about humiliation and humbling. I know God uses all of these things that we walk through to build character for sure, but my friend Ben Bergquam, who I've been working with, he gave me the best advice today and and the situation that occurred. It started out really bad, but I was able to pull it off in the end. And Ben said, it's not how you start something, it's how you finish it. And those are such wise words. I'm very grateful for his friendship and encouragement. He's awesome. Follow him on all social media platforms and pray for him. He's one of the good ones, and he's so brave.
But what I know is, no matter what, what happens, no matter what it looks like, stay the course and don't ever quit. If you fall down, dust yourself off and get up again. Sometimes you might even have a little cry. That's okay, but dust yourself off. Stay the course and you will reap a harvest. My friend told me the other day, if you faint not, you shall surely reap, that scripture, I understand why it says if you faint not, because sometimes you feel like fainting. But I'm so grateful for my friends and my encouragers, the people that, you know, we all have our days and our moments, and we all need people standing and rallying around us. And it it's just awesome to have those people. So, if you have those people in your life, treasure them. And whatever you're going through, don't quit. We're just getting to the good part.
Love you guys. Have a great day. Pray for President Trump.
