kawai k1 (K1r, K1m) Synthesizer Programming (part 1 of 2).
I delve into the structure of the K1 series and show how to program using simple waveforms for an analogue synthesis approach.
Roland SH-101 Programming Tutorial (part 2 of 4)
I start by looking at the modulator. I discuss the various waveforms and the LFO/Clock Rate, and the magic 54%.
I go on to talk about the VCO covering each of the parameters, the modulator, range and pulse width.
I finish by looking at the source mixer including the pulse width, sub osc (for those thumping dance bass lines). I also cover the noise generator.
This is a live demo of how to program the Vintage Casio CZ-1. This was the flagship Synth of the CZ range which included these synths - CZ-101, CZ-1, CZ-1000, CZ-3000, CZ-5000.
In part 3 - complete my look at "voice" or sound patch programming, going through each of the parameters, explaining what they do and demonstrating by playing with the values.
Proteus 2000 Synth Programming. (Part 9 - Layers -Stagger the Layers)
In the final part of this series I look at staggering the layers, i.e. making them sound in sequence. This is great for both percussive sounds (where the attack phase may well sound different from the body of the sound), and held pads where the sustained sound may need to go through several phases.
This ends the tutorial series.
Learn Basic Chord Progressions 2-5-1 and more on Piano Keyboard (Tutorial).
I go through the 2-5-1 progression, then expand it across the whole octave.
Learn Basic Chords on Piano Keyboard (Tutorial).
I teach how to construct chords on piano, how to understand the building blocks for chords and therefore how to construct triads (3 note chords).
Proteus 2000 Synth Programming. (Part 2 - Create a Blank User Patch)
I demonstrate how to do this on the actual synthesizer module, so no editor needed.
