In 2004 Mark Hosler of Negativland lectured at Duke University about Fair Use and the U2 lawsuit. There's a surprise about 1/2 way through when Mark reveals that the person who was (unknowingly?) responsible for U2 learning about, and suing over the song so quickly is actually attending this lecture. Good times ensue. Thanks to this video we have proof that U2 knew about the song first, which means all their lies about it being Island Records who initiated the lawsuit are now exposed.
