Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4 - Part 19 8/21 Ordis Hostage Rescue
And here is where we bring the Ordis arc to a close and people get to see a little more of Claire in the event she is your favorite character. I imagine more people would be excited about the other two additions to our team, of which only one is playable. In order to reach our finish line, we must navigate the waterway, which is only a little difficult in trying to get all of the treasure as order of the switches matters.
In the end, there are a lot of scenes, a lot of familiar faces, and then we get access to another region to explore. Ultimately, I think the most surprising thing here is that in the mansion, the floors are polished well enough for you to see up the female characters' skirts when the camera angle is correct. I noticed this during one of the fights there and hadn't even realized Juna was still wearing a skirt before this point. Sadly, I can't mosaic it out in the fights, so I just have to see if anyone else notices. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zAtRONm5dg
This is the conclusion to the first part, with lucky number 13. Will Hal be successful in his investment, saving the district from the land speculators and loan sharks, or will not even help from Barton himself be enough to salvage the situation? Whatever happens, there will be consequences, and we're going to have to address those in the next part...

Chekhov's gun finally fires, with the Red Constellation attacking Crossbell as most people expected them to do after their intro. The parts of Crossbell we can access are limited, and we have to go against another nasty boss fight after the one we just went through. To make things worse, you are forced to use Randy for this one, and he has fallen behind in levels after sitting out a dungeon.
For the fight against Sigmund, you have an actual time limit instead of a turn limit. You can skip move and spell animations to save more if you need it. Change Tio's S-Craft to her defensive one to block his S-Craft, but be aware you will only be able to get away with it once. Hopefully you've beaten one of the monster chests with the higher level enemies up to this, as we will need one of the Bells in order to eliminate the turn penalty for using some of the stronger magic. In the previous video, I got the Wind Bell, which synergizes naturally with Elie, allowing her to do the heavy lifting here. Sadly, this is also one of the last times in the game Noel is helpful as you can use her strength debuff to weaken Sigmund or remove his strength buff to make survival a little easier.

In this part, we storm the keep's gate, needing to force our way through. This is essentially a two pronged battle where some people are fighting on the bridge by the gate while others are fighting on the water section. Make sure you send the correct units to the right places as some may have trouble crossing the water and you can find your army divided and vulnerable.

For the longest time, I was trying to remember when we fought U3, and I am a little disappointed to find out it is the exact same chapter with the Krauser stuff. For U3, you need to navigate a confined area for switches before you reach his arena and can take him on. The Magnum does wonders, and you could reload it if you want, I'm just extremely cheap.
For Krauser, you have a multi-part fight where he confronts you in different areas to unlock the next area. The knife does a ton of damage against him, but I don't remember the knife strats. His HP is actually pretty low for this stage of the game, so you have the option of using the Magnum to drop him. Once he bites the dust, get out of the arena for it explodes. Saddler is out of pawns, so next video we get to have a word with him...

Here we reach the Route D, which is yet another double cross of sorts. We are barraged with familiar faces as we seek to be the last ones standing. And in the end, I am suspecting my theory about Route C and D being the Narm route...

This is just a scene to fulfill a request. Basically, you can see how the Kubitarou introduction will play out should Hazuki not be alive. A few lines have changed, but there are no major bombshells as the plot still needs to move forward.

Sadly, this is one of the few new maps we find this chapter. Anyway, the title is in reference to Arycelle's trap upon trying to leave Port Asyton in the previous video. I updated the title there for clarity.
Anyway, this is the last battle I have before I learn how generics are inferior to any named/voiced character of an equal job. I have to recruit a few of these extra characters before I can put it into practice though, which can be a little tricky due to how suicidal the AI can be at the best of times.
As for the map at hand, I opt to recruit a winged character (that will soon be abandoned) in hopes of having another Canopus or an otherwise very mobile archer. Sadly, he will become a Beast Master that I may use down the line to try to recruit monsters, but as of right now, I am not sure how much further I will be going with the game. I think I will at least get one ending, but I am not getting as much enjoyment out of this since the units are not quite as customizable. Overall, I feel like this is a much stronger commitment to the FF3 job system when I was hoping for something more akin to FF5. I don't know if this is the series norm, but I will be checking before committing to another game in the series.

We run into some familiar faces here, one from back in Zero while the rest are from the Trade Conference. It takes a little bit of work to finally corner them, and when it is all said and done, we get to turn them over to Calvard and be on our way.
