Ingredients:
Servings for 2
- 3 eggs
- 50ml milk
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 6 slices of white bread
- Mayonnaise
- 8 slices of York Ham
- Shredded Gruyere, Gouda or cheese Swiss
- Powdered sugar and raspberry jam, for serving
- Pinch of Salt
------------------------------
Method:
Grate Gruyere or any good melting cheese.
Spread mayonnaise on 6 slices of bread.
Place cheese on each slice and layer the ham on top of each slice.
Build the sandwich with 3 slices each, 2 slices of ham between each layer.
Take a cutting board or plate and press down on each sandwich firmly.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, and milk.
Melt the butter in a large saute pan over medium heat.
Dip each sandwich quickly into the mixture.
They need to be coated, but not soaked.
Place the sandwiches in the saute pan with the butter.
Cook until the bread is toasted and the cheese has melted, then carefully turn the sandwich and repeat.
When done, remove from the pan and cut the sandwiches in half.
Dust with powdered sugar and a side of raspberry jam.

Recipe:
6 large egg yolks
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup heavy cream
2 cups milk
1/2 Tsp ground nutmeg
pinch of salt
1/4 Tsp vanilla extract
ground cinnamon , for topping
-Whisk egg yolks and sugar together in a medium bowl until creamy.
-combine cream, milk, nutmeg and salt in a saucepan over medium-high heat stir until mixture reaches a simmer.
-Temper the eggs by adding the milk to the egg mixture slowly, whisking vigorously. Repeat.
-pour the mixture back into the saucepan while whisking constantly until the mixture is just slightly thickened or until it reaches about 160F.
-Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
-Pour the eggnog into a pitcher and chill in the refrigerator or in an ice bath
-Serve with cinnamon on top
-Store homemade eggnog in the fridge for up to one week.

- Servings 2 - 3
- Prep\Cooking time 15 - 25 mins,
- 4 or 5 small shallots or 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 100g mushrooms or 1/4 lbs. a bit more is like!
- 20g of peas, (optional)
- 60g of prosciutto, again you can substitute with what you have.
- 200ml Crème fraîche, you can do half heavy cream. Also, if the sauce is a bit thick add more Crème fraîche or a bit of milk to thin it before serving.
- Parmigiano, add as much as you want!
- 100g spaghetti you can use bow tie as well or any other sort!
- A splash of white wine.
- Salt to taste
Remember not to add to much salt, because the Parmigiano and Prosciutto will add enough for most people.
