A somewhat lost song - not in my live set more than a few times at most, never recorded. I rediscovered the lyric and worked on it for a day or two, this being the third of the 8 takes recorded over that time. Hello, thank you for viewing this video. This is a blast from the past - literally - a first-time-in 24 years playing of 'Where The Hard Wind Blows', and a first-ever electric version. A few lyric stumbles, but let's be honest, there was never going to be a Take 2 on the cards... I used to do this song pretty much every night, up until maybe 1991, then it slipped out of the set, and never came back. No idea why. I always was fond of the song, and recorded it in the studio for inclusion on my first CD. Interesting lyric, it is a mix of allegory, metaphor and imagery. Somewhat of a shame that so many of the corruptions and injustices the song confronts are still so prevelent today, 37 years after I wrote it.
