The Trike drivers called me over for picture, picture time and a hello - Life in the Philippines
A short hello to guys at the trike stand. They saw me with my camera and waved me over for picture, pictures. The Tagalog way of saying I love you. Is 'Mahal Kita' (Love you) to say I love you very much is Mahal na mahal kita. (Love and love you). The same with miss you. You say 'miss and miss you' in Tagalog by repeating it means, I miss you very much. So when they said, Come over for picture, pictures. That means some pictures. I hear a lot, Hey, Jack, picture picture time.
The trikes are the main link of transportation for the providence areas. You catch your local trike to the nearest town or in many cases to the nearest jeepney. Quite often we follow a trike to jeepney to bus chain of transportation to the larger cities, Manila, Makati city, Quiapo etc. If you are a big Dude you better not have claustrophobia, they are small.

This video "AI Generated Colorful Cyborg Woman" was created by FlaskArchitect

I have always loved programming and retired from a career in computer automation. Once again I have gotten very involved in computers. I am an avid Python and JavaScript enthusiast. My retirement in the Philippines began in Sept 6, 2012. I filled a backpack with drawing/art material and a laptop to write and headed overseas to live a dream . I am still in the Philippines. The trends of AI created imagery has opened door to new forms of video creation and computer imagery. I have united my love for video production and Python Flask to create FlaskAppArchitect a video Creator using AI images.
I also make videos of my life in the Philippines. My life overseas has been the adventure of my lifetime. This Vlog of life here is for my memories and show my friends and family back in the USA the Filipino lifestyle and show the world the joy of overseas retirement.

Don't cross the bridge, but you will see it on your right as soon as you exit the bus terminal and cross the street. If you cross the bridge it will take you into into Quiapo. If you are on your way to immigration you don't want to go there. I am just showing the dream someone had. I am sure it was at one time beautiful at night. How sad politicians are remembered by making new projects not maintaining old projects.
I have blog http://Jacknorthrup.com/blog . It has some pictures to complement many of the videos, sometimes extended articles and some videos not publicly released on YouTube. If you enjoy our YouTube Channel I am quite sure you will enjoy the blog.
Thank You and Stop on by and say Hello.

The acrylic blocks have more uses than just to stick your stamps too. I also use them as a ruler, scissor guide, Exacto cutting edge and to estimate size of focal images.

Venus's Soup # 5, Goat Head Soup is a Pulutan ( A drinking appetizer )
It is easy to make, just add a goat head, fresh tamarind{1} and tamarind leaves, salt and water. Simmer until well done and meat is tender. Ha ha Old Goats take longer --- Venus is joking when she calls it Soup #5. ---
There is a real Soup No. 5
The real Soup number Five is also a Pulutan, is spelled Soup No. 5 or Soup #5, and is Filipino cuisine usually made from what is considered scrap meat in the USA. It is usually said to be made from bull testes and penis but the truth is horse[2], oxen, stags and goat may also be used. It is usually consumed by men and is believed to have aphrodisiac properties. Confucius says, "Filipino Cooks Have Very Wise Idea". That way the scrap meat, when sold under the label as an aphrodisiac and turned into soup, has a demand, is expensive and is not shunned by male connoisseurs.
Origin of the Soup No. 5 Term
The term, Soup # 5, jokingly comes from the Chinese expressions "Soup #1, Soup #2, etc" to describe different types soups. The soup number is a Chinese Class of soup. The most expensive soup, Class 1 ( Soup #1) Bird Nest Soup actually made from Barn Swallow Nests. The Class of soup has nothing to do with value is is an ingredient based term.
Tagalog -
- Myra Reyes

[2] Myra has witnessed the creation of Filipino Soup No.5 ingredients in a Chinese restaurant in Visaya. The ingredient was made with horse penis. The penis was boiled in salt water.Sun dried and chopped into small pieces to be used in a variety of Soup No. 5 recipes.

They are growing super fast and eat more than me. Myra is thrilled. She is feeding four times a day. I think it is time for larger feeding trays. She says maybe next week and put a second tier in so they can be separated as they get bigger. We have another prospective raiser, the same man that built the chicken cages for us. I am very surprised no smell at all, Myra cleans the cage quite well every day then washes down the concrete below. That was my only worry. I have been around people raising chickens and chickens usually have that distinct unpleasant aroma. So far so good, Myra seems to have it under control.
