#128 Apple Mac Pro (Early 2008) DVD to SATA Blu Ray Drive Upgrade

Remember to subscribe !

Shows some upgrades to my 2008 Mac Pro.

My original DVD drive stated to play up, so I purchased a BluRay drive to replace it, difference is that the original drive is the older style parallel ATA, the new drive is SATA.

The kit I purchased from OWC comes with the required cables.

Some time ago I already added a second drive using the same kind of kit, so I have two drives installed now.

I show how to enable the calibration menu on an Agilent / Keysight E3646A, this also works for the E3647A, E3648A and E3649A if it says SECURE when trying to enter calibration mode. The calibration menu is sometimes locked, if that is the case it states "SECURED" when trying to access the menu, I show you how to enter the default unlock code. If the code is not known then there is a way of resetting it, I have not shown how to do that in this video but if you want a video on that please request it in the comments. Advantest R6581T 8.5 Digit Multimeter Repair Part 4 I continue the repairs to an Advantest R6581T 8.5 Digit Multimeter which I picked up for a reasonable price. The R6581T has a dim display, clicking relays on some ranges and shows overload on the display even though there is no overload present. I attempt to fix the dim VFD display problem, the VFD has uneven brightness.
