An early racer that involves hitting walls at top speed quite a bit. I'm not sure how one would master this, but considering how popular it was, it seems like someone would have. I'd love to hear the strategy. This wasn't exactly a one off, either. There were a dozen games very close to this in a series. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSalsUtdoRk
2 minutes long? That's because this is one of the worst collection of code I have ever seen. Just look at it. Wow.

A really fun, surprising game. The surprising part isn't how fun it is, it's how you simply do not notice its color limitations. Usually when you put a SNES vs. a Genesis game, the latter looks washed out or extremely limited. It takes a bit of getting used to since it's not really a run and gun despite looking like one and having all of the elements to one. Why not? You stop when you throw a batarang. There's a melee attack but I found myself not using it. I probably should get used to doing that, though. Leave the batarang alone for a second and you get a super shot.
It's a really fun game and really fun to watch. It pulls out so many graphical twists along the way.

Off the back of the actual 2024 Royal Rumble which, no spoilers but come on. Did you really think anyone else was going to win? I did have a pretty good fantasy booking reason to want Jimmy to win, but like that would ever happen.
12 minutes, and a chaotic 12 minutes at that. This is what we had back in the day and we loved every second of it. Come to think of it, it's still awesome and I need to make 3 friends.

Look familiar? I was surprised, too, how close the formula was to Mystical Ninja. In fact, I originally assumed that this series was going to be all over the place in style, but a few games in and I'm noticing that things are very consistent. I'm somewhat surprised that an NES Goemon game didn't end up being released in the US, especially since the action/adventure/beat em up genre on the console was very well received.

I'm doing that alphabetical think again and it brought me back up to the A's. Unfortunately, it brought me to a game I am no good at. I'm not alone, either, because this was introduced to me as one of the hardest NES games my friends have ever played. They are right....everything, including the power ups, is out to murder you. It can be very frustrating, but there is a hint of fairness somewhere in there if you take the time to git gud.

A recent comment reminded me that I have no Mappy games on any playlist, but there's a reason why. I was never good at it and at least this version is pretty damn punishing in difficulty. I haven't actually played the arcade game so I can't tell you how the difficulty compared, but dang. I'm happy this was a home system because this takes time to master. You really need to plan out your next two moves ahead of time or you won't make it longer than a couple of second.

A worthy port of the arcade game, and a little more accessible and forgiving, too. The last bit was nice as that was the only real complaint I had about the original. It's an easy to miss game for the system, too, and is one of those middle rarity games that still holds its value on eBay. I believe it, too, because I've never seen this cart in person in my life.

A part of the arcade, but not an exact one...it changed things up. It's the Master System equivalent to Excitebike, and really...I might get hit hard for this...it's about the same quality and fun. Don't hate me.

It's a great looking game and the ability to auto-field is nice, even if it does make it way too easy, but it's way, way, waaaaay too fast. You might as well swing at everything the moment the ball leaves the pitchers hand because you won't get a chance to think. I'm not even sure it's possible to draw or throw a ball. There's practically no control over batting, either.
