USPSA in Virtual Reality - Update #4 walls, hands, draws, destructible objects etc
Whoa! after a difficult Saturday trying to figure out how to fix the sighting systems on the guns, I managed to power through and get a lot done. Here are some updates:
1. Draw
2. Can't go through walls
3. Hands
4. Updated sights on gun models
5. Night stage
6. Weapon light
7. Audio cues and commands
8. New reload mechanic
9. Doors and ports, activators
10. Destructible objects
11. Course descriptions
12. Activator to prop connectors
13. Clean up main menu
14. Upgraded skyboxes
15. Slide lock animations

Was very happy to be finally able to shoot this match but after driving an hour, I realized that I forgot to take my rig with me (belt, holster and mag pouches). With the help of the range staff and a few friends (they're such good people), we found a spare CR Speed holster for the Glock. It didn't really fit as the trigger guard area was too big for my 2011. Allen Range and his McGuyver mind went into overdrive and fashioned a spacer with pieces of cut up plastic from the USPSA Scoring template and some duct tape. Also, he had to modify the locking mechanism and the muzzle nipple so it'll fit.
Allen then loaned me one of his CR Speed mag pouches and I'm off to the races.
The folks in the shooting community are all upstanding individuals who are super helpful and will always go to lengths to make things work for you.

Arrun and I decided to switch divisions for one match. He'll shoot my Open gun and I'll shoot his Glock 17 in Production Minor. Everything went well except for when my c-more red-dot module broke one of it's "pins". Wasn't sure why it broke but it worked intermittently and Arrun had a hard time shooting it. We finally figured it out later in the match by using a small ball of aluminum foil to maintain the contact points.
Apart from that, I had a blast shooting production, that front sight is easy to find but aligning the rear sight is a chore. I'll stick with Open for a while more.
