One of the very first things I made for the workshop was a poor man's plywood circular saw guide, and it served me well for nearly 2 years. This Kreg Straight Edge Guide stands alongside the Kreg Accu-Cut as a natural progression for those looking to step up. One of its key advantages is not only can you use it with your circular saw, but it'll also help guide the router or even a jigsaw. In this video, I will unbox, go through the setup and how to assemble and calibrate the Straight Edge Guide in detail for those who don't want to read the instructions. It is not a review per se, but I'll give my first impressions of it too. Mine is the normal version 1.2m or 4-foot model, meaning it can cross-cut a full sheet of plywood, MDF, melamine or other similar sheet goods. The XL version is twice as long as the regular one and can rip-cut the full 2.4m or 8 feet. In the future, I'll review it properly and compare it to the Kreg Rip-Cut and the Kreg Accu-Cut so you can see the differences between them.
