Tree Hugger? (VenomFangX Street Preaching Week #2)
An environmentalist smacks down VFX with enormous practical relevance and the only way VFX can respond is by posting tree hugger photos while he is talking.
Calling VFX's bullsh*t on the Dead Sea Scrolls.
The Wikipedia article he apparently hasn't read:

Sometimes emotional reactions, while unavoidable, destroy the evidence we need to try to prevent tragedies like this from happening again.
For example, killing psychotics who could be studied via the death penalty for the sake of vengeance. Or flooding out all the comments relevant to the tragedy from Asia McGowen's page by leaving R.I.P. comments.

I explain the end of my confident faith in God and the beginning of what became irreparable doubts about God's existence, given the current lack of motivating evidence for believing in Him.

False Dilemma
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_dilemma
-Three Problems with Biblical Morality-
1. The Bible contradicts itself on moral issues.
2. No conflict resolution strategy for verse contradictions. Often, this ironically results in a de facto moral relativism between different Christian denominations and individuals.
3. Doesn't address modern moral issues (like immigration, stem-cell research, pornography, or terrorism), resulting in even more de facto moral relativism between denominations and individuals as they all develop arbitrary ways of dealing with modern conflicts.
-Three Secular Theories of Morality that Don't have these Problems-
1. Utilitarianism

2. Respect for Persons (search "The Ethics of Respect for Persons")

== About the Emoticons ==
Apparently, the :F has been used for "vampire" or a "snake sticking its tongue out" and |:-| has been used for "a serious guy with a unibrow".
However, as Kabitu insightfully points out in the comments, I think usability and emotional recognizability come into play in emoticon creation. I.e. when are you really going to need emoticons for a snake sticking its tongue out, a vampire, or a serious guy with a unibrow unless you are flooding your conversation with needless emoticons?
I think a good emoticon captures an emotion in a way that accentuates pure text and makes a statement more expressive.
This concludes my official argument for why people should use these emoticons for the purposes portrayed in the video :) May the public decide their fate |:-|

I relate the insights of reading Spong for the first time, solidifying the displacement of theism by the insights of science, seeing how we had created the theistic God in our own image, learning about the first images of Jesus from the letters of Paul, and trying to extract concepts from my Christian experience that were still meaningful in a non-theistic universe.
