A bright smile on this land
Opening the pages of memory listening to the song, people visualize his sunny smile. He smiled so brightly, seeing the realization of the noble ideal to make the Korean people happiest in the world. When he met soldiers, he felt their shoes and showed parental loving care; when he called at an ordinary home, he opened the lid of the cooking pot without ceremony to see what they were eating; talking with farmers, he taught them farming methods. The bright smile of the President represented his sacred life.
The Anhak Manufactured Goods Shop visited by President Kim Il Sung is at the coal-mine village in Anhak-dong, Taesong District, Pyongyang. It was called the Samsin Shop after the Korean war. The shop also has an unforgettable story about the President.
Shopwoman Wi Kum Ran says:
"When President Kim Il Sung visited the then Samsin Shop, everything was imperfect. But he smiled brightly as a state-run shop for colliers was established in the coal-mine village. Saying various goods should be sold without suspension, he bought some goods to evaluate their quality."
Kim Pong Jin, Chief Engineer of the Management Board of the Ryongrim Cooperative Farm in Mundok County, South Phyongan Province, says:
"President Kim Il Sung visited Ryongrim-ri in 1973 and looked at the farm fields smelling of ripe grains time and again for a long time. He beamed all over his face, saying a rain-dependent farm of the past had been changed into a granary. Today, too, our farmers still remember the bright smile he was wearing that day, standing in the farm fields rippling with golden ears.
That day, he proposed turning the granary Ryongrim-ri into an enviable socialist ideal village and discussed with farmers on how to change it till late at night."
Such stories are not limited only to the lands of Anhak and Ryongrim. The workers in Songrim City, North Hwanghae Province, also have a touching story.
President Kim Il Sung, concerned about iron production, visited the then Hwanghae Iron Works and met workers in September Juche 48 or 1959. Opening his arms, he said that in the East Sea large fishes told us to catch them before they die of old age, but it was difficult to realize their desire because many ships could not be built due to the lack of iron.
It was a meaningful humor, but the workers read in it his heartwarming devotion and painstaking efforts and noble ideal for the people´s happiness. They resolved to increase iron production, true to his intention.
President Kim Il Sung was always confident and optimistic on the road of revolution only for the people´s happiness. He started the Korean revolution with the founding of the "Down-with-Imperialism Union" in his teens and laughed together with his comrades, picturing

Kim Yo Jong, Deputy Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, gave a statement to media on the 25th.
The statement reads.
Yesterday and today, I have carefully watched the movement of the south Korean political authority after releasing press statements reflecting our clear opinion and natural demand.
I've got an impression that the atmosphere of the south Korean public of different circles to restore the blocked inter-Korean relations as early as possible and achieve peaceful stability is irresistibly strong.
We also want it.
I think there is no need for the north and the south to waste time, finding fault and arguing with each other.
If south Korea truly wants the restoration of the inter-Korean relations and the sound development, it should say a word after due consideration and make a correct choice.
For example, south Korea should not recklessly criticize us with such rough remark as "provocation" and lead wordy warfare between the north and the south.
I say clearly once again that we can never tolerate the double standard.
Our actions conducted on the level of right of self-defence to cope with the present military environment and possible military threats in the region of the Korean peninsula are all abused as a threatening "provocation" and their activities for arms buildup are embellished as "securing of deterrent against the north". Such double standard of the US and south Korean style against the DPRK is an illogical and childish assertion and an undisguised neglect of and challenge to the sovereignty of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
South Korea should not try to destroy the balance of the military force in the region of the Korean peninsula with such illogical and childish farfetched assertion copycatting the United States.
I only hope that the south Korean authorities would prove in practice their movement to remove all the sparks like the double standard bereft of impartiality, hostile policy toward the DPRK, all sorts of prejudices and hostile speeches breaking confidence.
I think that only when impartiality and the attitude of respecting each other are kept, there will be smooth understanding between the north and the south and furthermore, the significant termination of war will be declared without losing a moment and a number of issues on the improvement of relations such as the setting up of the inter-Korean joint liaison office again and the inter-Korean summit meeting can be settled significantly and wonderfully one by one through constructive discussion at an early date.
But I make clear this is my own view to all intents and purposes.
I have already advised in August last that south Korea should make a correct choice.
I don't want to conclude now whet
